Revlon Expressionist - Jackson Polish , Night & Degas and Pop Art

Hi guys ! Hope everyone had a fun weekend. Mine was nice and relaxing. I'm busy making an outdoor mosaic table, so spend some time finishing that up. Hopefully I will be able to share some photos soon.

Today I'm sharing some colours from the Revlon Expressionist range. These are double ended nail polishes.. With a normal polish brush on the one end and striper brush on the other. I think this is quite brilliant , as not everyone owns striper brushes AND these make a fun holiday polish as you only need to take one to get two fun looks.

The three colours I'm sharing today is Jackson Polish, Night & Degas and Pop Art.

Up first is Jackson Polish. This is a orange-y red. I used two coats but one coat is fine if you don't mind a visible nail line. As you can see, the striper is a shimmery copper which applies quite smoothly for nail art.

Next up is Night and Degas! This is one of my favourites of this entire collection. The base is a two coater black that dries matte. Then the best part is the white striper which I've been obsessing over. Application is super opaque even with one coat of striper. And the combination is amazing!

Lastly is Pop Art. The base colour is a bright gorgeous blue that needs two coats. The striper is a lighter berry pink. This one is a little sheer so you have to go over twice with the striper or use a little more polish than normal. This one is another favourite. I LOOOVVVEEEE the colours together.

My thought on this collection:

  • My favourite one is definitely Night and Degas, followed closely by Pop Art.
  • There are some amazing combos in this collection, some that are a bit better than others but overall I really enjoyed this collection and had a lot of fun with it
  • Of course it may seem like stripers are a little difficult to use but with practise, these stripers aren't difficult to use at all.
These retail at Revlon counters for R89,95 each .

What look is your favourite ???

Have a fab Monday!

Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer Review and Wear Test

Hi guys. Happy Monday. How was your weekend ?? Today I will be sharing my review on the Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer . I have worn this quite a few times since buying the product - so I have a pretty good idea how it preforms. The colour I got was a typical Lynette colour - The Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer in Donut Worry be Happy. This is such a gorgeous fun pink colour. The range does have quite a few colour options - and what I do like about the range is that no top coat is needed. So while I always top coat polish or gel polishes - I didn't when I tested this out. Since I did mention I have worn it quite a few times - I always wore it without top coat. The polish dries amazingly fast - and is dry enough to not make dent marks on it within 20 minutes. Which I think is pretty impressive for a polish without top coat. The brush is on the thicker side - making the polish super easy to apply. I prefer nailpolish brushes like this since it's mostly just one swipe on each ...

CATRICE TREATMENTS SERUM REVIEW

Hi guys! Happy Wednesday. How was your week? I totally lost a day with the public holidays and Easter Weekend threw into the mix ... I was pretty convinced today was actually Tuesday. As I mentioned in my New on my Beauty Desk post in February - I got a few Catrice serums from their new range to try out. In total I picked up the Hydro serum as well - so today I will give you a rundown on the three serums I chose from the range to my routine.  Overall - I have a pretty good idea of which ones I love - which ones are good and which ones I'm not 100% sold on.  CATRICE HYDRO PLUMPING SERUM  This serum contains 1.5 %  hyaluronic acid and panthenol to plumps up the skin as well as have a soothing effect on the skin. Hyaluronic acid is well known to hydrate the skin and absorbs easily into the skin super quickly. I love using Hyaluronic Acid in the morning before applying make-up as it gives me a hydrated base to work with. Honestly, while I did enjoy using this serum - I d...

Inoar Hair Botox Treatment Lowdown and Review

Hi guys. Happy Friday. Today is FREEZING - I'm on my third cup of coffee for the day already . How was your week ? Any fun weekend plans ? Last Sunday I was lucky enough to be invited to try out the new Inoar Hair Botox treatment at Sorbet Dunkeld . As I mentioned before I love the Inoar Absolute Blond range so I was excited to try this treatment - as my hair can always do with a boost. I take great pride in looking after my hair and trying to keep it in tip top condition - especially taking extra steps since going blonder. So ... What is the Inoar Hair Botox treatment ? This is a hair treatment containing fatty acids , argon oil , Shea butter , hydrolysed keratin and grape extract . The treatment is rich in Vitamin A , C and E which will help protect your hair . It's also rich in antioxidants that fight free radicals.  The treatment is pretty easy and not too time consuming - Your hair gets washed, the treatment applied for 30 minutes and then rinsed out.  ...
