{Review} Essence Pure Nude Foundation & Concealer

Hi guys ! Happy Tuesday.

Today I'm sharing my thoughts on 2 new Essence products with you guys that Essence sent me a while back  - since these go so perfectly together. I'm always game to try out new foundations to see how it works on my skin . For the record - I have dehydrated oily skin that tends to break out easily - and the foundation worked amazingly well on my skin. It didn't clog my pores or make my skin break out . It also didn't cling to my drier spots on my face - making it one of my favourites to reach for on casual make-up days .

The Essence Pure Nude Foundation is a very lightweight light to medium coverage foundation . The consistency of this foundation is very liquid-y , but gives you a nice light coverage - perfect if you aren't a fan of heavy duty foundations . Even though I do prefer medium to full coverage foundations , I do like this foundation on my off days - it looks so natural and feels light and airy on your skin. I love that the foundation has a pump bottle- it makes applying liquid foundations so much easier. My favourite way to apply the foundation is with a damp beauty blender - I have used a brush too but I personally feel a beauty blender gives you a nice even coverage.

Sick of your dirk circles under your eyes ? Well this concealer is a life saver when it comes to covering them up. This concealer blends easily - which is a bonus if you have a drier under eye area like I do thanks to the creamy slightly powdery texture of this concealer. It's also very user friendly (since it's shaped like a big crayon ) , and very travel friendly too  .

As always , Essence is also super budget friendly for such amazing products.

The only downside though - the foundation and concealer is only available in three shades.

The Pure Nude foundation retails for R69,95 & the Pure Nude Concealer retails for R47,95 at Clicks and Dis-Chem stores.

Have a lovely day guys. xx

*These products was send to me in exchange for my honest opinion*

  2. I have been eyeing these when I´ve seen them in stores but I´m always scared to buy foundations/concealers cause my face has a tendency to reach badly to some products ;) I may have to test these though cause they seem to be amazing products :)

    1. My face is also very sensitive lately - I use to LOVE the Maybeline BB Cream for no-make up days but suddenly that makes my skin break out. This works perfectly.

Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer Review and Wear Test

Hi guys. Happy Monday. How was your weekend ?? Today I will be sharing my review on the Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer . I have worn this quite a few times since buying the product - so I have a pretty good idea how it preforms. The colour I got was a typical Lynette colour - The Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer in Donut Worry be Happy. This is such a gorgeous fun pink colour. The range does have quite a few colour options - and what I do like about the range is that no top coat is needed. So while I always top coat polish or gel polishes - I didn't when I tested this out. Since I did mention I have worn it quite a few times - I always wore it without top coat. The polish dries amazingly fast - and is dry enough to not make dent marks on it within 20 minutes. Which I think is pretty impressive for a polish without top coat. The brush is on the thicker side - making the polish super easy to apply. I prefer nailpolish brushes like this since it's mostly just one swipe on each ...

CATRICE TREATMENTS SERUM REVIEW

Hi guys! Happy Wednesday. How was your week? I totally lost a day with the public holidays and Easter Weekend threw into the mix ... I was pretty convinced today was actually Tuesday. As I mentioned in my New on my Beauty Desk post in February - I got a few Catrice serums from their new range to try out. In total I picked up the Hydro serum as well - so today I will give you a rundown on the three serums I chose from the range to my routine.  Overall - I have a pretty good idea of which ones I love - which ones are good and which ones I'm not 100% sold on.  CATRICE HYDRO PLUMPING SERUM  This serum contains 1.5 %  hyaluronic acid and panthenol to plumps up the skin as well as have a soothing effect on the skin. Hyaluronic acid is well known to hydrate the skin and absorbs easily into the skin super quickly. I love using Hyaluronic Acid in the morning before applying make-up as it gives me a hydrated base to work with. Honestly, while I did enjoy using this serum - I d...

Inoar Hair Botox Treatment Lowdown and Review

Hi guys. Happy Friday. Today is FREEZING - I'm on my third cup of coffee for the day already . How was your week ? Any fun weekend plans ? Last Sunday I was lucky enough to be invited to try out the new Inoar Hair Botox treatment at Sorbet Dunkeld . As I mentioned before I love the Inoar Absolute Blond range so I was excited to try this treatment - as my hair can always do with a boost. I take great pride in looking after my hair and trying to keep it in tip top condition - especially taking extra steps since going blonder. So ... What is the Inoar Hair Botox treatment ? This is a hair treatment containing fatty acids , argon oil , Shea butter , hydrolysed keratin and grape extract . The treatment is rich in Vitamin A , C and E which will help protect your hair . It's also rich in antioxidants that fight free radicals.  The treatment is pretty easy and not too time consuming - Your hair gets washed, the treatment applied for 30 minutes and then rinsed out.  ...
