{Review} Filorga's Iconic Time-Filler 5XP with new Enhanced Formula

Hi guys! Happy Thursday? How has your week been so far? I won't lie, all these public holidays have thrown my week haywire and it feels like I'm constantly forgetting what day it is.

Filorga recently celebrated 10 years of their Iconic Time-Filler Formula - one of their BEST anti-ageing moisturisers out there. The new formulation is specifically designed to treat all five types of wrinkles namely deep wrinkles, lines caused by dryness, surface wrinkles, neck wrinkles and those sneaky little expression lines.

I turned 36 at the end of March - so it came at the perfect time to help me tackle all my skin ageing concerns . While it definitely is a privilege to grow old - you don't exactly want your skin to show your age. I know I would like to look as young as possible for as long as possible - so I can see why in the past 20 years the demand for non-invasive anti-ageing procedures has increased by 174.6%.

The new Filorga formula is inspired by the 5 expert aesthetic medicine techniques used to correct wrinkle types :
  • Expression lines - inspired by Botox injections
  • Deep wrinkles - inspired by Filler injections
  • Surface wrinkles- inspired by skin peels
  • Dehydration lines - inspired by revitalising injections
  • Neck wrinkles - inspired by fighting threads

I was lucky enough to be sent the Filorga 5XP Cream formula for normal to dry skin - and as I mentioned it came at the perfect time. This cream formula is extremely nourishing, and after battling with a dreaded cold (you know when you usually look like death and suffer from dry painful peeling skin) I came out perfect on the other side. I also started to notice more expression wrinkles as well and was surprised that they are improving. My neck has lost its tightness and has become a little hollow over the years , and this cream helped a ton to improve the look of my neck slowly but surely. . And let's be honest - if you are scared of injections like me fighting ageing with awesome creams like this is the best defence you can have.

The new improved Time-Filler 5XP retails for R1025 and comes in the cream formula for normal to dry skin and a cream-gel formulation for oily skin that contains zinc to provide long-lasting shine control.

Have you tried the new formulation yet?

Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer Review and Wear Test

Hi guys. Happy Monday. How was your weekend ?? Today I will be sharing my review on the Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer . I have worn this quite a few times since buying the product - so I have a pretty good idea how it preforms. The colour I got was a typical Lynette colour - The Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer in Donut Worry be Happy. This is such a gorgeous fun pink colour. The range does have quite a few colour options - and what I do like about the range is that no top coat is needed. So while I always top coat polish or gel polishes - I didn't when I tested this out. Since I did mention I have worn it quite a few times - I always wore it without top coat. The polish dries amazingly fast - and is dry enough to not make dent marks on it within 20 minutes. Which I think is pretty impressive for a polish without top coat. The brush is on the thicker side - making the polish super easy to apply. I prefer nailpolish brushes like this since it's mostly just one swipe on each ...

CATRICE TREATMENTS SERUM REVIEW

Hi guys! Happy Wednesday. How was your week? I totally lost a day with the public holidays and Easter Weekend threw into the mix ... I was pretty convinced today was actually Tuesday. As I mentioned in my New on my Beauty Desk post in February - I got a few Catrice serums from their new range to try out. In total I picked up the Hydro serum as well - so today I will give you a rundown on the three serums I chose from the range to my routine.  Overall - I have a pretty good idea of which ones I love - which ones are good and which ones I'm not 100% sold on.  CATRICE HYDRO PLUMPING SERUM  This serum contains 1.5 %  hyaluronic acid and panthenol to plumps up the skin as well as have a soothing effect on the skin. Hyaluronic acid is well known to hydrate the skin and absorbs easily into the skin super quickly. I love using Hyaluronic Acid in the morning before applying make-up as it gives me a hydrated base to work with. Honestly, while I did enjoy using this serum - I d...

Hi guys. Happy Friday. Today is FREEZING - I'm on my third cup of coffee for the day already . How was your week ? Any fun weekend plans ? Last Sunday I was lucky enough to be invited to try out the new Inoar Hair Botox treatment at Sorbet Dunkeld . As I mentioned before I love the Inoar Absolute Blond range so I was excited to try this treatment - as my hair can always do with a boost. I take great pride in looking after my hair and trying to keep it in tip top condition - especially taking extra steps since going blonder. So ... What is the Inoar Hair Botox treatment ? This is a hair treatment containing fatty acids , argon oil , Shea butter , hydrolysed keratin and grape extract . The treatment is rich in Vitamin A , C and E which will help protect your hair . It's also rich in antioxidants that fight free radicals.  The treatment is pretty easy and not too time consuming - Your hair gets washed, the treatment applied for 30 minutes and then rinsed out.  ...
