But don't fret - I will be rejoining very soon and sharing my pairs with you guys.  So what is Lingerie Letters if you are new here? Hi guys! Happy Wednesday! 2020 has really kicked my butt so far this year ... with work, Mom life, Alex's birthday and getting super sick first with a jaw infection and then flu... I've been out most of the last few weeks. Not the best start to the year but not going to let that get me down. As I mentioned here many times before- Alex does read every night before bedtime - this is a strong rule we stick to every night. He loves reading and he often walks around with a fact book or Encyclopedia in his hand reading everyone facts about volcanoes, dinosaurs or the human body. I love that  Kids Book Club  send us a cute book, an activity something and a cute bag every month. This month's theme Love Edition is super cute too. These bags are awesome if you go shopping to throw in your bag and let the kids help out packing groceries. So more about the service again if you missed it last time : We picked the two-book Fox Favourites (5-10years) package - this month we...

{Subscription Service Review} Lingerie Letters July Pair

Hi guys! Happy Monday. How has your weekend been? The other day I saw a meme on Instagram saying adulting is saying "it will be calmer from next week" over and over again until you die. That's how I feel currently. Work is insanely busy (which is good ! ) and Alex has a week filled with Eisteddfod (which he has been practising his heart out for the last few weeks ) but hopefully, things will be a bit calmer after that. A girl can only dream... Speaking of a girl's dreams ... I decided in June to start with the Lingerie Letters subscription service. I have ordered a few past pairs from them in the past (which I love ) and decided to treat myself to a pretty pair getting delivered to me monthly. Afterall - life is too short not to have pretty underwear.   So what is Lingerie Letters? It's a Proudly South African based company that sends you a pretty pair of underwear delivered to your door monthly. Since I decided to treat Alex to a book subscription I wanted...

City Girl Beauty The Bees Knees Mask

Hi guys ! Happy Monday . Sorry for the radio silence the last two weeks - my mom was admitted into ICU and I didn't have a free minute to spare. But luckily she's out now and I can continue with my normal level of craziness.  A little while back I did a review on some City Girl Beauty Lippies - and a little after that I placed an order for their Beauty Sleep serum (which my mom swears by ) and decided to pick up one of the new masks in the range. I love that Jess is another fellow blogger with her own range of beauty products . She created 4 new awesome masks and I was extremely keen to try one out . (Side note - I didn't need a new mask - but I love masks / sheet masks in general so I'm always tempted to try a new one ) Plus they are pretty affordable at R90 a mask - as the container does pack a punch and you get about 8/9 uses from the container.  I decided to try the Bees Knees variety as it helps with signs of ageing , scarring , acne and even hydration. With ...

City Girl Beauty Rome & California lippies

Hi guys ! Happy Wednesday . How has your week been ??  A little while back while  City Girl Beauty  had a sale on their Matte Liquid lippies for National Lipstick day - buy one get another one free. I've been super keen to try Jess - a fellow South African blogger - line and knew I had to order and try them.  I got Rome - a gorgeous pinky nude for myself and Paris (a peachy toned lippie for my mom - so I won't be swatching that one ) and Jess was kind enough to include another shade for me to try - California - a bright orange toned red.  The applicator is a little doe foot applicator - personally I find this one a little bit harder to use since it is so thin. The lippy smells amazing - like vanilla cupcakes but it's not overpowering once on the lips. The formula is quite mousy so you need a little shake before applying but these lippies has such an amazing staying power - they last amazingly well even after millions of cups of coffee and cupcakes....

Mini Lather Me Up Haul

Hi guys ! Happy Wednesday . A little earlier in the month - while browsing Instagram - I spotted LatherMeUp - and I was excited to try out the products and test them out for myself . (My honest reason was spotting that Owl Coffee Massage bar - because I love owls and Coffee ) . If you follow me on social media - you might have spotted that I already use and love the Lush Coffee Massage bar - so I was very excited to order some goodies to try. She currently has 4 massage bars in her range and I picked up two of them . I suffer from an extremely sore neck from time to time - and stress and a busy lifestyle does make it worse sadly. So I love using massage bars to ease the tension a bit. Gliding Bean Massage Bar (R45 ) This was my number one reason for ordering. Because Owls ... And Coffee. I haven't used this one yet as I can't bring myself to ruin the little owl- but it smells incredible yummy. Honey Bear Massage Bar (R40) This massage bar is shaped into a cute...

Mini-Me.co.za Review and How to

Hi guys - Happy Wednesday. How has your week been so far ? Today I'm sharing a fun little Lego person I created on  Mini-Me.co.za   - a website that specialises in Personalised Lego Gifts that you can create or choose from the already made sets. This is such an  unique idea - especially for those hard to shop people or when you are looking for something truly unique to gift someone. These make cute birthday / graduation / thinking of you or even corporate gifts.  When I was contacted by the company - I knew I would ask my son (Alex who's 7 ) to help with reviewing the whole process. He's a avid Lego collector and loves all things Lego related. You can easily create a fantasy mini figure or re-create yourself - which I think is such an awesome idea.  They also have a cute little Lego stands for your mini figure that you can personalise with your own message - making the gifting opportunities endless. You can work from creating a male or femal...

Beautiful Earth Headache Relief

Hi guys ! Hope you had a great weekend. I had a nice relaxing Mother's Day weekend - and all the rainy chilly weather here in Johannesburg made it the perfect weekend to stay in and watch movies with my little guy. As I mentioned in the Beautiful Earth Bath oil post , the company was kind enough to send me two full sized products to try out too. I feel somehow the picked the perfect products from their range for me to try out. Not a lot of people know this - but I suffer from headaches at least once or twice a week. Especially more in warmer weather.  So when a natural (non pill popping) product comes into my life I'm always willing to try it out.  Again - one of the main things (except being Proudly South African) that impresses me from Beautiful Earth  products is they are cruelty free and all their products are vegan too.  I carry this little roller in my work bag and around with me at home. This helps amazingly well when I feel a headache starting - I u...

Beautiful Earth Bath & Massage Oil

Hi guys ! I'm finally back after a few weeks break - I got so sick at the end of March and was put on some hectic meds, so I wanted to take a little break until I was feeling 100% again. While I'm not completely healthy again - I missed blogging so much and will slowly be getting back to it.  I was lucky enough to be introduced to Beautiful Earth products - as they offered to send me some samples to review on my #SampleSunday series and included a full size product for me to test out.  This couldn't have come at a better time to try out as my skin was getting dry from the season change.  But before I tell you about this amazing Bath & Massage oil , some more info on the company : Beautiful Earth sells personal care products to consumers and the hospitality industry. We are committed to natural products and the ingredient listing on each individual product confirms this. Apart from being natural, Beautiful Earth is also green – an environm...
