There is also no artificial colour added , 100% soap free (so it won't be drying on the skin yest still offer effective cleansing of the skin) , colour free , vitamin E enriched , Ideal 5.5 pH balance and Dermatologist Tested . This brand also doesn't test on animals (which is always a bonus if you are looking for more cruelty-free products )  I have been testing this cleansing bar on my skin for the last week as well as on my son Alex. I love how my skin didn't feel super dry and tight after a bath or shower (as I mentioned before I do have super dry dehydrated skin ) ....

My #DoveHairGameChanger Haircare Experience ft The Intense Repair Shampoo & Conditioner

Hi guys ! Happy Monday . How was your weekend ?? Today I'm sharing some new haircare products I have been trying that Rubybox sent me a few weeks ago -The Dove Intense Repair Shampoo and Conditioner to try out and review . I'm always excited to find new haircare - and even more excited to try out a very affordable range too.  I have pretty normal hair but it tends to go a little frizzy and dry pretty quickly  . I also tend to wash my hair mostly daily as I prefer clean fresh hair everyday - which sometimes dries your hair out quicker . I do use dry shampoo every so often instead of a wash if I'm really lazy . After using it for a good three weeks now and I have noticed my hair is a lot smoother and totally frizz free since using the range. My hair also feels a lot stronger and shinier than usual - which I love - thanks to the magic of Keratin .  I do find the shampoo does give me a little build up (so once a week I use a clarifying shampoo with the conditioner. ) ...

Flaunting My Fearless with Clairol Color Crave

Hi guys ! Happy Monday . How was your weekend ? I had the most chill weekend with family and the kiddo playing and just relaxing.  Two weeks ago Rubybox sent me the Clairol Color Crave in Orchid to try out. I was really excited to give this a go as I am a little clueless what I want to do with my hair this year. The Clairol Color Crave range has 6 fun colourful colours that work on blond and brunette hair. What I love that no bleaching is required but the lighter your hair the longer the wear time.  It's pretty easy to use too - wet hair ... apply with the brush for a easy paint on application  ... wash and voila. No mixing is required (this is a direct dye formula ) and I love the funky black gloves that comes with the set. I left my colour on for 20 minutes - but you can easily leave it a little longer for a brighter look.  This range is paraben , peroxide and ammonia free. The formula claims to have no fade colour surprises and las...

Labello Vanilla Buttercream

Hi guys. Happy Monday. Did you have a nice weekend ?? Mine was pretty busy as I am prepping for my kiddo's 8th birthday this week.  Over the weekend I was lucky enough to receive the Labello Vanilla Buttercream lip-balm from  Rubybox  to review for you guys. If you know me you know I love vanilla products - it's my all time favourite scent in the world - so I was really excited to try it. I prefer lip-balm daily with a lipgloss instead of lipstick as I do suffer from extremely sensitive lips. Labello has an extra care formulation with Shea Butter and natural oils - and this particular variety has the most amazing vanilla aroma.  This lip-balm immediately cares for your lips to leave them deeply moisturised and smooth . I prefer a thicker balm to use daily instead of one that absorbs within seconds - so I love that this lip-balm doesn't disappear from your lips within seconds.  Skin compatibility dermatologist approv...

My Favourite John Frieda Blonde Haircare Products

Hi guys. Happy Wednesday ! How has your week been so far ? I'm back at work now too, and Alex went back to school today so posting will be more regularly from today.  Today I will be sharing my favourite John Frieda Blonde haircare products. I was blonde most of 2017 and I really discovered that blonde highlighted hair does take extra care . I am back to brunette hair again now (and will be sharing my favourite haircare products for my Brunette hair soon too. ) I was lucky enough to get send the John Frieda Go Blonder Shampoo and Conditioner end September last year thanks to Rubybox - and did a full review with before and after pictures  HERE   .  This shampoo contains citrus and chamomile to gently reduce colour pigment in the hair so that blonde hair is gradually lightened for a sun-kissed look. It contains no ammonia or peroxide, but rather uses a natural lightening complex. This product is suitable for all shades of blonde and can be used with the ma...

Rimmel StayMatte Liquid Lipsticks

Hi guys. Happy Friday. How has YOUR week been so far ? On Monday I was lucky enough to receive some new liquid matte lippies from Rimmel to test out and review for Rubybox. I was really excited to try out the range . These lippies are said to have a 12hour wear time , be kiss-proof , transfer proof and water resistant. The range had quite a wide selection of shades - so there will be a perfect colour for every skin-tone and every lip colour you might need. There are 15 colours in the range - and I have 12 of the colours to share with you today and offer arm and lip swatches. The three colours in the collection that I don't have is a dark navy blue , a grey and a black.  So before we jump into all the swatches - let's have a quick chat about the formula first. These lipsticks have a mousse like formula with a slight sweet scent that fades quickly. I mentioning this as I know some of you guys might be worried about the scent. The colours apply super smooth and easy with...

Dove Invisible Dry & Original Antiperspirant Deodorant Review

Hi guys ! Happy Friday. Any exciting plans for your weekend ? If you read my  "New On My Beauty Desk"  post last week , you would remember I was sent the Dove Original and Invisible Dry from Ruby box to test out. I was intrigued - as the Invisible Dry claims to not stain any coloured clothes - something I was a little sceptical about. The current brand I was using was one of the few ones I found to not leave nasty white marks on my darker clothes - so I was a little apprehensive to try out the brand.  "Dove introduces its best ever antiperspirant with a new improved formula that promises 48 hour protection and superior care for your underarms." I got sent the Original as well as the Invisible Dry range - that offer 48 hours of protection and care for your underarms . I have tried the Invisible Dry range for the past week and I can say it definitely doesn't leave any white marks on your clothes. I get dressed in 2 minutes in the morning ( with it being w...

Collagen Lift 2 month Review and Progress

Hi guys . Happy Monday. How was your weekend ? Over the last two months I've been using the Collagen Lift Paris supplement. While I don't have major wrinkles - I do believe prevention is better than cure. I have developed a few deeper lines especially in my neck area that I wasn't loving since turning 31, so when Rubybox was looking for some bloggers to test out the product I knew I had to give it a whirl.  How  Collagen Lift® Paris works Collagen helps to keep wrinkles at bay. But our collagen levels decrease with age, particularly during menopause. So it's no surprise that collagen is one of the most trusted anti-ageing ingredients for women. Collagen is present in our food, but it is difficult to digest and absorb. The collagen I in  Collagen Lift® Paris is broken down (hydrolysed) to make it very easy for the body to absorb. Hydrolysed collagen gives your body amino acids to use as building blocks. This boosts your skin's collagen metabolism from ...

Impulse True Love Make- Up Inspired Look

Hi guys . Happy Friday . Who else is excited it's weekend ? I had such a busy but fun and exciting week .  Earlier this month I got some awesome Impulse fragrances from Rubybox with these pretty pastel make-up brushes - with a challenge to create a few fun make-up looks inspired by either Impulse True Love or Impulse Paris. I have a make-up look ready for both fragrances - but today I will share a little more on the Impulse True Love scent as well as my date night inspired make-up look. Impulse True Love has such a soft girly scent - perfect for going out on a special date - be it dinner and a movie - coffee and chilling at home or a romantic dinner. The fragrance has notes of freesias , muguet and amber, The scent isn't overpowering strong - I feel this is such a perfect scent for everyday . (This scent is also guy friendly and won't be too strong of a scent to overpower your date) "I hope to find a real love .... That I will experience true romance . True L...

Avène Eau Thermale Spring Water Spray

Hi guys ! Happy Saturday . I know I don't normally post on weekends - but I've been so sick this week I didn't even come too close to my laptop at night to type a post . I was lucky enough to be one of the selected  RubyBox  bloggers to try the Av ène Eau Thermale Spring Water Spray. I have seen it in Clicks before - but I haven't tried it yet as I though - it's just water right ? Why would I buy a special water to spray on my skin ? Boy oh boy I will admit I was as wrong as can be.  As I mentioned earlier in this post - Johannesburg has some crazy weather lately - it was cold and raining the one week (which I'm pretty sure is the reason for me being so crazy sick ) - and then back to super duper hot temperatures the next . I think this was one of the main reasons I have been struggling so much with my skin the last few weeks too . My skin wasn't too happy with me. When I got the parcel with the  spray I was intrigued to try it out. I mean I ALWAYS ...

John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Visibly Brighter Make-Up Look

Hi guys ! Happy Tuesday . How was your Monday ? Having a great start to the week ?? Part of the Rubybox campaign was to create a fun make-up look after using the shampoo and conditioner from the new John Frieda Brilliant Brunette range. I was really looking forward to this challenge as I can give mini reviews on some of my favourite products I like to use  .  As you guys know from my review  HERE  I am really loving the range . I used to use some voluminous spray in my hair daily - but I love how much more manageable my hair seems to be and how soft and smooth it it - that I just wash , dry and go in the mornings. My highlights in my hair has gone much more brighter and has the most beautiful golden sheen now.  I love making my green eyes pop on occasion - so the make-up look I will be sharing is the products I use for a gorgeous purple look to go along with the gorgeous golden sheen in my hair.   Revlon ColorStay Foundation for Normal /...
