Aon Nail Wear Pro + Inspired Iris

Hi guys ! Hope everyone had a lovely week ! I can't believe it's Friday already ! This week really flew past. I for one was loving the rain we got in JHB, and the colder weather finally starting. ♥

First off, I have to say, I wasn't impressed with this polish I will be showing today. This was suppose to be love at first sight, but the issues started when I first got it. The first Avon broshure showed this colour as a sparkly purple, and when I opened it, it was more pink than purple. (The second broshure took that bottle shot completely away too, probably because some people complained the colours didn't look the same ). So I decided it's still pink, and I love pink polish right... ??

I had so many issues with the application too, usually when I'm done painting the first coat of the nail polish, I can start a second coat on my blogging hand. WRONG ! The polish dragged like crazy. So I waited and waited and waited. The second coat didn't make it opaque. As I used the blue one before this , I knew it will need a coat or two more. I was sooo wrong. This is 6 coats, and it still had VNL on some spots .

But this was my long weekend away mani, so I thought I'd grow to love it. In certain lighting the polish looked dirty. Then on arrival of our destination, I noticed some of my nails turned a white-ish colour. I just ignored it and went on with my day. By that evening, I noticed some nails turned a dark frosty pink. Seriously.. Like I needed more reason to hate the polish.  (And no, I wasn't near the Harties water ) .

Now that I got that of my chest, let me show you the most decent photos I got from this polish - ( I have to say, after editing them to add the watermark, I kinda liked the colour )

Honestly, this nail polish will end up in the bin. I'm not coming near this shade again soon. Even my mom commented that it started looking weird with the colour changes that happened.

Perhaps you might have more luck with this shade, but for me, this was a real let down, and I won't be recommending this polish. EVER .

I do feel a little sad for being so harsh on a polish, especially a pink one.. But this shade and me were like water and oil.

Does anyone have any fun plans for the weekend ? I'll be posting on Sunday, as I will celebrate my blog's one year blog anniversary. Keep your eyes peeled for that, and a special mani to celebrate it.

Also, thank you for all the new followers on Twitter, I really enjoy chatting to you all. ♥

  3. Seriously ! That sounds messed up. I dont like the Avon polishes at all, they always end up a little different looking than the book shows. *CINDY*

    1. These photos was the best of the lot... I wanted to include the other photos but decided against it. Honestly, I wish I chose another mani for a vacation mani, but I guess it's not the end of the world. The covering took 6 coats, and in my books thats too much work too.

Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer Review and Wear Test

Hi guys. Happy Monday. How was your weekend ?? Today I will be sharing my review on the Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer . I have worn this quite a few times since buying the product - so I have a pretty good idea how it preforms. The colour I got was a typical Lynette colour - The Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer in Donut Worry be Happy. This is such a gorgeous fun pink colour. The range does have quite a few colour options - and what I do like about the range is that no top coat is needed. So while I always top coat polish or gel polishes - I didn't when I tested this out. Since I did mention I have worn it quite a few times - I always wore it without top coat. The polish dries amazingly fast - and is dry enough to not make dent marks on it within 20 minutes. Which I think is pretty impressive for a polish without top coat. The brush is on the thicker side - making the polish super easy to apply. I prefer nailpolish brushes like this since it's mostly just one swipe on each

CATRICE TREATMENTS SERUM REVIEW

Hi guys! Happy Wednesday. How was your week? I totally lost a day with the public holidays and Easter Weekend threw into the mix ... I was pretty convinced today was actually Tuesday. As I mentioned in my New on my Beauty Desk post in February - I got a few Catrice serums from their new range to try out. In total I picked up the Hydro serum as well - so today I will give you a rundown on the three serums I chose from the range to my routine.  Overall - I have a pretty good idea of which ones I love - which ones are good and which ones I'm not 100% sold on.  CATRICE HYDRO PLUMPING SERUM  This serum contains 1.5 %  hyaluronic acid and panthenol to plumps up the skin as well as have a soothing effect on the skin. Hyaluronic acid is well known to hydrate the skin and absorbs easily into the skin super quickly. I love using Hyaluronic Acid in the morning before applying make-up as it gives me a hydrated base to work with. Honestly, while I did enjoy using this serum - I do prefer the Sw

Farm Animals Friday !

Hi guys ! Can't believe its Friday already ! First off, happy birthday to my brother, hope you have a fantastic birthday today ♥ So Tip Top's facebook page, has been running weekly nail art theme competitions. This week's theme is FARM ANIMALS.
