{Seasonal Things} My Essence Advent Calendar Day 1-6

Hi guys! Happy Friday! Somehow my post last week never went live ( which was totally my fault - I put in the incorrect day - so my Friday Freebie post will move to next Friday instead.

As I mentioned in my Advent Calendar post here I always get the Essence Advent Calendar to open up every morning. In our house this is such a fun ritual in December - Alex opens up his Lego City Advent and I have my Essence one. Today I will share with you guys the first 6 products of the calendar - (I see they are still on sale on Takealot - so perhaps if you are thinking about it this will give you an idea what you get ).

Day 1 - Essence I Love Extreme Mascara Honestly - Essence Mascara is a firm favourite in my books - I love mostly all the mascaras by the brand and this one is no exception. Essence mascaras last a pretty decent time on me too. I have too many mascaras open at this stage - but I'm super excited to use this beauty soon.

Essence Glitter mini nail polish in 02 a season to sparkle
I don't buy nail polishes anymore (except basecoat, topcoat or white and black for nail art - low buys sometimes sucks ) so I was looking forward to getting some new fun nail polishes to try out and play with. This is a gorgeous glittery polish with some fun pink and gold-toned glitter in to give a magical Christmas feel.
Essence Glitter Nail File
Now to be honest ... I am more excited about this nail file than I should be. At work I always carry a nail file in my bag, I always have one in my handbag and then another two or three at home ... So I don't mind getting a pretty new one for my work bag. It's pink and glittery and that is swoon-worthy.
Essence Kajal Pencil in 08 Teddy
I'm excited to see a different colour in this year's calendar - a gorgeous warm-toned bronzey brown. I love using Kajal pencils in my waterline... it gives my eyes such a pretty and intense look that I want on some days.
Essence Jewelry Nail Stickers
Again ... while most people on Youtube is pretty bummed by the nail stickers - I truly love these for easy nail art looks. They are super easy to use and user-friendly and can give you easy gorgeous nail art in seconds.
Essence Good To Spread the Magic Baked Metallic Highlighter
Again... Essence Highlighters are pretty magical ( see what I did there ??). And this one is no exception. Essence knows how to make good affordable highlighters and I will never say no to add a gorgeous new one to my collection.

Overall ... so far I'm pretty impressed with the products I got - and the boxes are super cute too. Remember you can follow me on my social media links to see my daily unboxings of my Advent Calendars.

How is December treating you so far ??

Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer Review and Wear Test

Hi guys. Happy Monday. How was your weekend ?? Today I will be sharing my review on the Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer . I have worn this quite a few times since buying the product - so I have a pretty good idea how it preforms. The colour I got was a typical Lynette colour - The Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer in Donut Worry be Happy. This is such a gorgeous fun pink colour. The range does have quite a few colour options - and what I do like about the range is that no top coat is needed. So while I always top coat polish or gel polishes - I didn't when I tested this out. Since I did mention I have worn it quite a few times - I always wore it without top coat. The polish dries amazingly fast - and is dry enough to not make dent marks on it within 20 minutes. Which I think is pretty impressive for a polish without top coat. The brush is on the thicker side - making the polish super easy to apply. I prefer nailpolish brushes like this since it's mostly just one swipe on each

CATRICE TREATMENTS SERUM REVIEW

Hi guys! Happy Wednesday. How was your week? I totally lost a day with the public holidays and Easter Weekend threw into the mix ... I was pretty convinced today was actually Tuesday. As I mentioned in my New on my Beauty Desk post in February - I got a few Catrice serums from their new range to try out. In total I picked up the Hydro serum as well - so today I will give you a rundown on the three serums I chose from the range to my routine.  Overall - I have a pretty good idea of which ones I love - which ones are good and which ones I'm not 100% sold on.  CATRICE HYDRO PLUMPING SERUM  This serum contains 1.5 %  hyaluronic acid and panthenol to plumps up the skin as well as have a soothing effect on the skin. Hyaluronic acid is well known to hydrate the skin and absorbs easily into the skin super quickly. I love using Hyaluronic Acid in the morning before applying make-up as it gives me a hydrated base to work with. Honestly, while I did enjoy using this serum - I do prefer the Sw
