New on My Beauty Desk February Edition

Hi guys! Happy Monday and Happy February! I was a little quieter last week as it was the kiddos birthday on Monday - he is already 11 and I'm blown away that the small baby I was handed many many years back is almost a teenager. Eeek!

Today I'm sharing some new products on my Beauty Desk I will be trying out the Month of February. Some of the products (the Vitamins and Filorga Cream ) I have tried .. so I'll give a mini-review on them but expect a full review on them soon too. I'm on a low buy at this stage so I will have more products to share with in the future once my no-buy is over.

First up is some Aafiyah Healthcare Goodies.  I got the Collagen with Curcumin. I'm excited to try this out as I have been suffering from joint inflammation in my right hand from when I turned 16, and the last year it got significantly worse. So I'm excited to see how this can help with the stiffness. And collagen has so many beauty benefits as well - and who doesn't love slowing down the ageing process.

Another product from the range I'm currently trying out is the Probiotic 9 Strain. This is fantastic for restoring and maintaining a healthy gut as well as help to reduce bloating.

Now onto the clear winner from this range - the Flu Fighter Wellness mix. This is a powder made to add to smoothies, yoghurts or your morning tea or coffee. It's nice and spicy with 5 Superherbs to help stay healthy and combat any germs. I go between adding it to my morning yoghurt and muesli or adding it into my morning smoothie for a super boost. This works and really makes sure you stay healthy - a bonus is a current pandemic going on.

Next up is Filorga Global - Repair Eyes and Lips. An intensive targeted action serum to combat eye and lip creases and to create a visible and intensely rejuvenating effect. I'm turning 35 this year - so I love any products that slow down the ageing process - and I have been trying it out for a week or two and excited to do a full review on this later this week.

Catrice recently launched some new skincare products as well - and I wanted to try 2 of their new skincare serums. The Catrice Glow Overnight AHA Treatment with 5% Glycolic Acid. This treatment serum has glycolic acid (to stimulate cell renewal and exfoliate the skin), Aloe Vera to soothe the skin and Chamomile to calm the skin.

The other serum in the range I decided to pick up is the Catrice Pore Minimizing Serum with 10% niacinamide. I don't really have oily skin - but niacinamide works fantastically on my skin - so was excited to add a serum with this magical ingredient being the centre of attention. Both serums retail for R149 - so it's pretty budget-friendly.

Lastly, I got the Avon Anew Reversalist Night Cream mini to try out and mainly for my late night I'm too tired for a full skincare routine bag next to my bed. This is a night cream powered by Protinol and Phytol to revitalize and renew skin. Plus I felt a mini was great to try out as well.

The last two goodies are the Caribbeantan Shimmer Cream and Body butter samples. I haven't tried anything from the range in ages so I'm excited to try out these two samples.

Are you trying any new products in February ??

Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer Review and Wear Test

Hi guys. Happy Monday. How was your weekend ?? Today I will be sharing my review on the Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer . I have worn this quite a few times since buying the product - so I have a pretty good idea how it preforms. The colour I got was a typical Lynette colour - The Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer in Donut Worry be Happy. This is such a gorgeous fun pink colour. The range does have quite a few colour options - and what I do like about the range is that no top coat is needed. So while I always top coat polish or gel polishes - I didn't when I tested this out. Since I did mention I have worn it quite a few times - I always wore it without top coat. The polish dries amazingly fast - and is dry enough to not make dent marks on it within 20 minutes. Which I think is pretty impressive for a polish without top coat. The brush is on the thicker side - making the polish super easy to apply. I prefer nailpolish brushes like this since it's mostly just one swipe on each

CATRICE TREATMENTS SERUM REVIEW

Hi guys! Happy Wednesday. How was your week? I totally lost a day with the public holidays and Easter Weekend threw into the mix ... I was pretty convinced today was actually Tuesday. As I mentioned in my New on my Beauty Desk post in February - I got a few Catrice serums from their new range to try out. In total I picked up the Hydro serum as well - so today I will give you a rundown on the three serums I chose from the range to my routine.  Overall - I have a pretty good idea of which ones I love - which ones are good and which ones I'm not 100% sold on.  CATRICE HYDRO PLUMPING SERUM  This serum contains 1.5 %  hyaluronic acid and panthenol to plumps up the skin as well as have a soothing effect on the skin. Hyaluronic acid is well known to hydrate the skin and absorbs easily into the skin super quickly. I love using Hyaluronic Acid in the morning before applying make-up as it gives me a hydrated base to work with. Honestly, while I did enjoy using this serum - I do prefer the Sw
