Hi guys! Happy Wednesday. How has your week been so far? Mine has been super busy at work - and home life has finally settled down a bit again too.  As promised in my 2019 post - I want to do more kids related posts on the blog too. Today will be the first post. Reading in our home is a big deal. I have tons of kids book and I add to them regularly. We make a point that no matter what to read a book every night. Alex was one of the Top 10 Readers in his Grade last year and as an educator myself, I can't stress the importance of reading. I prefer to keep these books in my little (although it's not so little anymore Library short and sweet stories - so I know it won't take us more than 10 minutes to read.) He does, however, have his own bookcase with books he can read anytime he feels like reading. Hi guys! Happy Monday. How was your weekend? We had a bit of a rough week last week - not only the usual daily routine stuff but Alex slipped and fell in the bath and now has a major gash just beneath his bottom lip and a chipped tooth. Fun ... (not) Wet n Wild is a brand I haven't tried out too much. I do have the eyeshadow primer I got last year and LOVED ( and it's still one of my favorite eyeshadow primers). When the Wet n Wild photo focus foundations came out last year everyone raved about it. When I saw they were available on Clicks I couldn't wait to order some goodies. Hi guys! Happy Thursday! How has your week been so far ? Recently Avon came out with the Refreshing Aloe and Cucumber Body Lotion (I love buying these big bottles as I do use quite a lot of body lotion - I'm one of those weird people that don't like to have dry scaly skin . ) and just looking at the flamingo on the packaging I knew I had to try it out . Doesn't the packaging just scream summer ??? Now while I do have a few favorite body lotions in the rotation - the Avon big bottles are always a staple in my bathroom. The bottle has a pump which is perfect so no struggling with a squeeze bottle and squeezing out too much (which with a kid can sometimes turn into a disaster). Last year I decided to gift my mom some new make-up brushes and get me some of the new Essence collection too. It's no secret that Glamore Cosmetics is one of my favourite online stores - the customer service Gael provides is out of this world amazing and I haven't ordered something I didn't fall in love with.  Hean High Definition Fixer Spray R310  This product shouldn't be confused with a setting spray (that generally blends make-up into skin ). This is a magical fine mist that will help keep your make-up in place and looking fabulous for much longer. The spray is a very fine mist but it takes some getting used to if you are just used to traditional setting sprays - the mister on here is more like a hairspray mister . Mine has been pretty busy at work - and this current extremely hot weather in Johannesburg isn't helping either.  End of last year I bought some new Loreal goodies to play with - The Loreal Infallible Foundation Stick and the Lash Paradise Extatic Mascara and Primer that every Youtuber raves about (only the Lash Paradise Extatic is currently available in South Africa - but I do hear the normal version will be available later this year  )- so I was really excited to try it out .
