Essence Advent Calendar 2017 Day 15 - 24

Hi guys. Happy Friday ! Hope you had a wonderful week .  As promised - today I bring the last instalment of the goodies that was in my Essence 2017 Advent Calendar. I really enjoyed opening the calendar with Alex as he was opening his Lego one daily . This is the second year I got the calendar ( for those of you wondering it's totally different from the 2016 version ) . I will be getting another one next year if Essence decides to bring it to South Africa again. I really like the variety of products you get . So onto the last products.  Essence Nail Polish in The Christmas Story This is a dark vampy colour - although we have Summertime now - I will be keeping this one for Autumn time as I feel it would be perfect. I generally really like Essence nail polish so I'm sure this one will be a winner.  Essence All About Matt! Fixing Powder I have mention this powder before - it really is a favourite of mine. While I prefer loose powder for setting my make-up every ...

Essence Advent Calendar 2017 Day 8 - 14

Hi guys. Happy Wednesday.  Did everyone have a great Christmas ? I have been having a great time just relaxing at home with the kiddo . I will be posting the one more advent calendar post a little later this week - but from next week all posts will be more regular again and I will be doing some great fun reviews for you guys. 2017 was a sucky year for me - so I'm optimistic that 2018 will be a much better year all round.  So let's jump into the second week goodies from my Essence Advent Calendar.  Essence Black Kajal Eyeliner So fun fact - while I wear colourful eyeliner (colourful in my opinion is lavender ha ha ha ) or a nude or white - I don't wear black eyeliner at all. I'm really really trying to try more bold looks - so I'm excited to use this. I use these eyeliners for Halloween to draw any details Alex needs for his Halloween costume and it lasts amazingly well.  Essence Dual Ended Sharpener I love Essence sharpeners. They are some of the best...

Essence Advent Calendar 2017 Day 1 - 7

Hi guys. Happy Monday . Sorry for being MIA for a two almost three weeks on the blog . As I mentioned in my last post - my gran was in ICU and sadly she passed away the same day as my last post. I was extremely close to my gran - so  I needed a little break from social media and blogging - but I'm finally back again.  This year I got another Essence Advent Calendar for myself and a Lego on for my son Alex. If you follow me on Instagram , Twitter or Facebook I open up and share the calendars every morning on there. Today I will share what the goodies was in the first week of my Essence calendar.  If there is any of these products you want a review on - feel free to mention them in the comments below.  Day 1 - Essence 4-1 Nail File :  This is one of those cute 4-1 nail files that has a side to shorten , shape , smooth and polish your nails. I like the Festive designs on this - it's pretty cute for doing your nails this time of year.  Day 2 - Ess...

Avon Mark Liquid Lip Lacquer Shine Review & Swatches

Hi guys ! Happy Monday. How has YOUR weekend been ? Sorry for the lack of posts last week - with my still in hospital ICU ( we are going on week 3 ) it's crazy running from work , hospital and school prize givings.  Avon launched a new liquid lippy - and I was really excited when I saw these. These are like a melted down lipstick - the colour is gorgeous and opaque and the formula is super hydrating and nice and buttery . The formula also has a built- in primer to smooth the lip surface. There are 10 colours in the range - and I will be sharing the three colours I ordered with you . There are more bold fin colours - but I know myself and go for a more neutral lip on a daily basis - so I picked three colours that would suit that requirement.  So let's jump into the swatches : NUDEITTUDE This is a gorgeous nude colour. While I prefer more beige-y nudes - this one is perfect to throw on on those days where I prefer a more natural look.  BLUSHING This pink c...

New On My Beauty Desk - November

Hi guys . Happy Friday. How has your week been ? My week was super busy - my gran ended up being admitted to ICU on Monday - so this week has been crazy busy running from one place to the other. On another note - If you follow me on social media you know I was tempted to colour my hair a different colour for a while now ... and I finally bit the bullet and went back to brunette on Wednesday.  This month I have some awesome new products I am testing to review for you guys. Some are for specific posts I will be doing this month - some are products I really want to try. So without further chatting from me let's jump into the products . Almay Smart Shade Powder Blush in 10 Pink Can we talk for a minute how cute this looks ?? Look at the pretty ombre and the lovely stars ... swoon - this is blush heaven. I will be doing a few top pink items from brands soon - and you can bet this beauty will be featured in that post. The colour is GORGEOUS too.  Avon Mark Liquid Lip La...

Review on 3 Avon Products - A foundation , bronzer & Setting Spray

Hi guys . Happy Thursday. How has your week been ??  Can you believe we are already in November ? It's scary how quickly this year has just flown . I'm extremely excited for Christmas this year (which is a nice change since last year I struggled to get into the holiday mood and about 80% if my Christmas shopping is already done - yeah me ! ) .  Today I'm sharing a review on three Avon products - a foundation , bronzing pearls as well as a Setting Spray. I really love Avon products - as I find they are amazing quality and not too expensive. And I find they have a great variety of products - so there is always something that will catch your eye. Avon Bronzing Pearls in Warm Glow As I mentioned in a Blush post - Avon has a similar style blush pearls which I LOVE . These beads are no exception. I find by swirling a brush into the pearls it offers such a nice bronze to your skin without it looking to muddy or orange. I don't use bronzer everyday - but this one i...
