Some New Revlon Favourites

Hi guys! Happy Wednesday! How has your week been so far ?? Today I am sharing some new Revlon favourites I've been using a lot lately. Some of them I have discovered the end of December last year and some are new loves that popped into my routine.  Revlon ColorStay Full Cover Matte Foundation 150 Buff This is one of the latest foundations from Revlon. I knew I already loved the colourstay foundation range in general - so I was really excited when Takealot had this foundation on sale last year and picked one up. This is a 24hour wear foundation that promises no caking or fading, that's lightweight and blends seamlessly. And I have to agree on those statements (although I never wear foundation that long). This has been my go-to foundation the last few weeks since my skin has been acting up a little in this heat. It's a good medium coverage foundation - and I love how this doesn't cling too much on dry patches - but looks flawless and doesn't go into fine line...

July Monthly Favourites

Hi guys ! Happy Monday . How was your weekend ??  I'm a little late this month to share my monthly favourites but rather late than forgetting another month to share what I love right ? July is usually our anual family week getaway - so my favourites will include some travel friendly options this month as I am showing a few mini's here . These are all products that I loved and couldn't stop reaching for in the month of July.  Hean Eyebrow Pomade - Ash Brown I have mentioned my love for the Benifit version quite a few times in monthly favourites but I was lucky enough to try out this lovely brow pomade from Hean cosmetics that I was really pretty excited to try it. And with good reason - as I mentioned before this is such an amazing brand. The brow pomade lasts forever on your brows - the colour (ash brown) suits me perfectly and it's pretty easy to work with. Not to creamy and not to stiff - the perfect mixture that you need in a brow product.  Locally Hean ...

Disappointing Products

Hi guys ! Happy Friday ! How has your week been ? Today I am sharing some disappointing products with you guys. I know disappointing product posts can sometimes get a little negative - if these products work amazing for you please leave me a tip how you perhaps use it differently  - because let's be real no one wants to buy make-up to unhappy about it . HudaBeauty #FauxFilter Foundation in 100B Milkshake  You have no idea how excited I was about this foundation when I ordered this from Cult Beauty . I read so many great reviews that I couldn't wait to try it. It looks so high end and even looking at this photo breaks my heart.  Sadly on me this foundation doesn't work at all. The scent didn't bother me - but oh boy ! It feels heavy on my skin (like I am wearing a THICK layer of foundation ) ... but doesn't make me look flawless sadly. I feel my BB Cream gives me better coverage (although it could be because I used a beauty blender ) . I wish it didn'...

My Favourite Sunscreen Products

Hi guys. Happy Wednesday ! How has your week been so far ?  Today I'm sharing some of my favourite sunscreen products with you . I wear sunscreen every day - come rain or shine and I let my son wear sunscreen on a daily basis too - so these are our favourite ones we are currently using. I believe sunscreen is such an important step in your daily routine - not only is sunburned skin super sore - it makes you age faster too . I believe sunscreen not only protects your skin - but is such an important step to keep you looking younger for longer.  Justine Tissue Oil Skin Repair Face Cream SPF 20  (Normal Skin & Oily Skin versions) I actually started using the smaller tube bottle of these on Alex a year or two ago as he was really struggling with dry skin and I wanted to get a good cream to hydrate his face and give sunscreen benefits. Now it's all that he uses This face cream is absorbed into the skin easily and helps moisture soften and protect against sun damage...

Labello Vanilla Buttercream

Hi guys. Happy Monday. Did you have a nice weekend ?? Mine was pretty busy as I am prepping for my kiddo's 8th birthday this week.  Over the weekend I was lucky enough to receive the Labello Vanilla Buttercream lip-balm from  Rubybox  to review for you guys. If you know me you know I love vanilla products - it's my all time favourite scent in the world - so I was really excited to try it. I prefer lip-balm daily with a lipgloss instead of lipstick as I do suffer from extremely sensitive lips. Labello has an extra care formulation with Shea Butter and natural oils - and this particular variety has the most amazing vanilla aroma.  This lip-balm immediately cares for your lips to leave them deeply moisturised and smooth . I prefer a thicker balm to use daily instead of one that absorbs within seconds - so I love that this lip-balm doesn't disappear from your lips within seconds.  Skin compatibility dermatologist approv...

Essence Advent Calendar 2017 Day 8 - 14

Hi guys. Happy Wednesday.  Did everyone have a great Christmas ? I have been having a great time just relaxing at home with the kiddo . I will be posting the one more advent calendar post a little later this week - but from next week all posts will be more regular again and I will be doing some great fun reviews for you guys. 2017 was a sucky year for me - so I'm optimistic that 2018 will be a much better year all round.  So let's jump into the second week goodies from my Essence Advent Calendar.  Essence Black Kajal Eyeliner So fun fact - while I wear colourful eyeliner (colourful in my opinion is lavender ha ha ha ) or a nude or white - I don't wear black eyeliner at all. I'm really really trying to try more bold looks - so I'm excited to use this. I use these eyeliners for Halloween to draw any details Alex needs for his Halloween costume and it lasts amazingly well.  Essence Dual Ended Sharpener I love Essence sharpeners. They are some of the best...

July Favourites

Hi guys. Happy Monday. How was your weekend ?? I totally skipped June favourites last month - as June was such a crazy busy month . I don't have too many favourites this month - as I didn't want to repeat most from last month - so I'm including all the newer favourites and sharing them with you guys today . But first let's hop into the non beauty related favourites . July was a much better month though - and even included a little getaway with the family to the beach .  That definitely was one of the magical moments of the month - a much needed getaway with my kiddo. Even though it was Winter - we had the most amazing weather for the whole week- perfect for spending most of the day at the beach relaxing.  While on holiday (and actually while shopping at Lush ) Tanya suggested I have to try Wicked Donuts. I'm so bummed we don't have one close to us but I think that's a good thing - and I'm sure my waistline would agree. I had the most awe...

Some new Eau Thermale Avène Goodies I'm Trying

Hi guys . Happy Monday. How was your weekend ? It's FREEZING cold in Johannesburg this morning - I know I will need a few cups of coffee and tea to warm up today . ( For my international readers - it's currently the middle of winter here in South Africa) A little while back I decided to try some more goodies from the Av ène Eau Thermale range while stocking up on the Spring Water Spray while I was ordering from Clicks online. It's no secret that I LOVE the Spring Water spray - so I won't review that here again. If you like to read my thoughts on it - you can click HERE . The Cold Cream range looked extremely tempting to try out - and pretty affordable so I decided to give it a go. I have used Cold Creams before and I love the texture and how they work on my skin - so was really keen to try it out. I got three products from the Cold Cream range - The Cold Cream cream , the Cold Cream Hand Cream and the Cold Cream Lip cream.  So onto the products : Eau Thermal...
