Essence Pink Glitter Show Eyeshadow Palette

Morning guys! Happy Wednesday! How are you doing in Lock-Down so far? I'm not going to lie - even though I know this is the best .. the insane amount of cooking, cleaning and trying to work from home and home-schooling is driving me a little insane - I'm glad to know my family is safe at home driving me nuts. I got this lovely Essence Pink Glitter Show Palette end of last year ... and I know this is still on sale at a lot of places - so I thought it's the perfect time to do a little review on the palette. When I saw it in Dischem I'm not going to lie - the pink glitters and princess feel of the palette won me over instantly. (I'll share some gorgeous photos of the outside of the palette as well in the end ) The palette consists of 12 smooth as butter and pigmented colours - some nude / champagne shades as well as some gorgeous pink/berry-toned shades.  All these shades have great pigmentation - all blend like a dream and the shimmers in this palette is magi...

Essence Salut Paris Eyeshadow Palette Review

Hi guys! Happy Monday. How was your weekend? Can you believe it's June already? I've been super busy at work lately (Hence the no posts - but I'm slowly trying to get into my new work routine so I'm planning to post more too.) Also, I haven't forgotten the freebie for May - I will be posting two school kids related freebie worksheets this month. Last month I picked up one of the new Essence palettes they released. They have quite a few pretty new ones - but being obsessed with all things French and Paris I knew the Salut Paris palette was the one for me. And I was totally in luck - the colours in the palette is totally up my alley. I do love awesome mauve and pink and tones as everyday staples - so I loved the colour choices in addition to the neutrals in this palette. It makes it a very friendly everyday colours palette. Personally, for me, a mirror doesn't play that important role - but I do like that it is added to this palette. For some I know i...

My Picks from the Essence Counting Stars Collection

Hi guys ! Happy Wednesday . Hope you are having a lovely week so far.  A little while back I was browsing Takealot and I saw this cute little collection . The collection has lippies , eyeshadows , make-up application tools , hair ties and gorgeous nail goodies. From what I can gather this is a limited edition range exclusive to Takealot as I haven't seen it in store yet.  From the collection though only a few items jumped out at me . A lipgloss , the two lippies and an eyeshadow palette.  Essence Counting Stars Highlighter and Eyeshadow Palette 01 Make Your Own Magic R59 This is a gorgeous mini nude palette with three gorgeous colours . Online it does look more pink so don't be fooled into thinking this is a more rosey palette. The colours are SUPER buttery , creamy and blendable - these eyeshadows literally blend themselves . The highligter is a gorgeous more golden toned highlight that can easily work on the skin too - the reason I picked this up it...

My picks from the Essence Wood You Love Me? Collection

Hi guys ! Happy Monday. How was your weekend ?? Today I'm sharing some of the goodies I got from the Essence Wood You Love Me Limited Edition collection. As always - this isn't everything in the collection - just the products that I felt I needed. There is still some cute nail files , make-up sponges eye pencils and two other polishes in the collection.  So let's jump into the goodies I got ... Essence Energizing Eye Sheet Mask - Foxever in Love & Essence Hydrating Face Sheet Mask be Happy! Be A Bunny R44 each  If you follow me on social media you know it's no secret that I am obsessed with sheet masks (and masks in general to be honest). So I knew these I just had to have . These masks have cute animal inspired prints on the sheet and look super adorable. I haven't tried them yet - but once I do I will share them on social media. Both are super easy to use and stay on for 15 minutes (the perfect me time after a long day ) Essence Highlighter &...

My picks from the Essence Wake Up , Spring ! Range

Hi guys. Happy Monday. How was your weekend ?? Today I am sharing my picks from the Essence Wake Up , Spring ! Range. As always this collection was another gorgeous limited edition collection - and I was happy when I saw my Clicks was still pretty fully stocked. This time round though - the nailpolishes didn't intrigue me at all - but I will be sharing the three items I did decide to pick up. Essence Wake Up , Spring Blush in Hello Sunshine ! There is apparently two blushes in the range , but my Clicks only had one. Again - did Lynette need another Blush in her life ? No. Did Lynette buy said blush in any case - Yes ! This blush was a little less pigmented than I hoped - but it's a nice gorgeous subtle everyday colour. I don't gravitate to peachy blushes in Winter - so I haven't used this one too much - but this will look stunning when the weather warms up.   T he Blush can be folded up to reveal an integrated mirror - which is pretty cool and can make to...

July Favourites

Hi guys. Happy Monday. How was your weekend ?? I totally skipped June favourites last month - as June was such a crazy busy month . I don't have too many favourites this month - as I didn't want to repeat most from last month - so I'm including all the newer favourites and sharing them with you guys today . But first let's hop into the non beauty related favourites . July was a much better month though - and even included a little getaway with the family to the beach .  That definitely was one of the magical moments of the month - a much needed getaway with my kiddo. Even though it was Winter - we had the most amazing weather for the whole week- perfect for spending most of the day at the beach relaxing.  While on holiday (and actually while shopping at Lush ) Tanya suggested I have to try Wicked Donuts. I'm so bummed we don't have one close to us but I think that's a good thing - and I'm sure my waistline would agree. I had the most awe...

New On My Beauty Desk

Hi guys . Happy Friday - I'm still currently on holiday in Durban  - but I will be back in full swing next week with regular scheduled posts. How was your week ? I'm soaking up some sun and enjoying time on the beach before I head back home to icy Johannesburg.  Today I will be sharing another What's New On My Beauty Desk post. I will be giving a little mini update in two weeks on some more of the products I've been testing lately and sharing my thoughts on them . Essence My Must Have Eyeshadows  I mentioned my love for the eyeshadows   HERE  - and I know many people don't really like these eyeshadows - but I picked up 4 new shades ( the purple one I have mentioned earlier - so it's not that new new but since I got a new palette for them I am including it ) . The four colours I picked this round is 09 Chilli Vanilli (vanilla colour ) , 14 Purple Clouds , 03 Miss Foxy Roxy and 07 / mauvie - Time ! I already hit pan while on holiday on Essence All I N...
