Avon Mark Liquid Lip Lacquer Shine Review & Swatches

Hi guys ! Happy Monday. How has YOUR weekend been ? Sorry for the lack of posts last week - with my still in hospital ICU ( we are going on week 3 ) it's crazy running from work , hospital and school prize givings.

Avon launched a new liquid lippy - and I was really excited when I saw these. These are like a melted down lipstick - the colour is gorgeous and opaque and the formula is super hydrating and nice and buttery . The formula also has a built- in primer to smooth the lip surface. There are 10 colours in the range - and I will be sharing the three colours I ordered with you . There are more bold fin colours - but I know myself and go for a more neutral lip on a daily basis - so I picked three colours that would suit that requirement.

So let's jump into the swatches :

This is a gorgeous nude colour. While I prefer more beige-y nudes - this one is perfect to throw on on those days where I prefer a more natural look.
This pink colour is such a Lynette colour. This is the one I reach for the most - and some days it's a struggle to not just pick this one over and over again. It's such a gorgeous milky pink colour.
This is my second favourite one. The colour in the tube does look a little darker - this one is more build-able. If you use a little more the colour is a more intense mauve - a thinner layer like I used in the lip swatches gives such a awesome mauve lip.

As you can see it's more brown toned nude. For me personally I prefer a more beige toned nude - but this colour actually suits me better. It's the perfect throw on and go out the door colour that goes with any make-up look.
As I mentioned - this is my favourite colour by far. This is such a me shade as I love milky pink shades on my lips.
As I mentioned - this colour is pretty build-able. Put on a little thicker layer to get a more bolder colour - or a thinner layer like I did here for a perfect wash of colour. I love this mauve lip.

Overall the range is pretty affordable too - as they are currently on special for R84,90 each . The wear time is pretty decent too - it lasts a good 3 hours before a touch up is needed. As this is so hydrating and glossy - I don't mind as my lips tend to get chapped easier in the warm summer months - so this is such a perfect lippy for them. Another bonus - as it's already a liquid it won't melt if you forget it in the car - which is ALWAYS a bonus.

Do you prefer a bolder lip or a more neutral lip look ?

New On My Beauty Desk - November

Hi guys . Happy Friday. How has your week been ? My week was super busy - my gran ended up being admitted to ICU on Monday - so this week has been crazy busy running from one place to the other. On another note - If you follow me on social media you know I was tempted to colour my hair a different colour for a while now ... and I finally bit the bullet and went back to brunette on Wednesday.

This month I have some awesome new products I am testing to review for you guys. Some are for specific posts I will be doing this month - some are products I really want to try. So without further chatting from me let's jump into the products .

Almay Smart Shade Powder Blush in 10 Pink
Can we talk for a minute how cute this looks ?? Look at the pretty ombre and the lovely stars ... swoon - this is blush heaven. I will be doing a few top pink items from brands soon - and you can bet this beauty will be featured in that post. The colour is GORGEOUS too.
Avon Mark Liquid Lip Lacquer Shine
You guys know I loved the liquid matte version , so I was super excited to try the glossy version . Luckily this didn't disappoint at all. This lipstick is gorgeous , buttery and the colour Blushing has become my go to everyday shade. I will be doing a full review with swatches of the three colours I bought a little later this month too. I got three colours - Blushing , Mauve Over and Nudeitude .

Revlon Ultra HD Lipcolor in HD Pink Cloud
This is another product I got for a series I'm doing later this month on awesome pink products. I usually love Revlon lip products and I'm sure this will be another great lip product.
Essence Clear Lash & Brow Gel
My beloved Benefit Clear Brow Gel was finished, and when I popped into Clicks I decided to pick this one up . I've only used this a day or two but so far I really like it.

Essence Holo Rainbow nailpolishes in Holo Fever & Holo Rocks
I will share some swatches in a New Essence Products post soon - but these polishes are gorgeous. Holo Fever looks amazing and the wear time is pretty decent. Holo Rocks looks mindblowingly beautiful - but the wear time on me sucks. It's extremely high maintenance - which sucks - but how beautiful it looks does make up for it.
INOAR Argon Infusion Oil Treatment
It's no secret - my favourite haircare brands are hands down John Frieda and Inoar. I bought this treatment as my blonde hair was so dry from all the highlights - and this made my hair soft and smooth. It looks like such a small amount - but I already gotten 3 treatments out of this and there's still enough left for one more. This makes your hair softer than soft and super hydrated. Perfect for a weekly or monthly treat for hair. I bought this little gem from The Beautiful Store .
Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Lipstick : I have done a full post on them here - but since they landed on my beauty desk at the end of October I thought they are worth another mention. I will be doing a make-up look with my favourite colour of the range pretty soon too - so keep an eye out for that.
Tara & Jack Le Anti - Wrinkle & Illuminating Mask
A blogger friend - the lovely  Simone from An Ordinary Gal mentioned this mask on Twitter one evening - and I knew I had to get one to try out. No I haven't tried it yet - but I have high hopes for this mask. Tara & Jack masks are amazing - it truly feels like a spa experience.

Tara & Jack Purifying Mask with Tea Tree Oil :This is another stunning mask I bought from The Beautiful Store . My skin was having a bit of a freak out and while I have some awesome masks for a mini skin freak out - my skin was behaving extremely badly. You know those extremely painful hormonal breakouts. Yup - that happened to me. And it never does. This mask made my skin calmer , less painful and a lot more happier. I will now keep one of these masks for those pesky spot emergencies.

Overall I'm excited to try some new products for you guys in November. Any particular review you would like to see first ?

Review on 3 Avon Products - A foundation , bronzer & Setting Spray

Hi guys . Happy Thursday. How has your week been ??

Can you believe we are already in November ? It's scary how quickly this year has just flown . I'm extremely excited for Christmas this year (which is a nice change since last year I struggled to get into the holiday mood and about 80% if my Christmas shopping is already done - yeah me ! ) .

Today I'm sharing a review on three Avon products - a foundation , bronzing pearls as well as a Setting Spray. I really love Avon products - as I find they are amazing quality and not too expensive. And I find they have a great variety of products - so there is always something that will catch your eye.

Avon Bronzing Pearls in Warm Glow
As I mentioned in a Blush post - Avon has a similar style blush pearls which I LOVE . These beads are no exception. I find by swirling a brush into the pearls it offers such a nice bronze to your skin without it looking to muddy or orange. I don't use bronzer everyday - but this one is really stunning and long-lasting on the skin. I do find it works better with a big powder brush or a bigger kabuki brush .

Avon Mark Prep and Set Spray
This spray works fantastic to prep as well as set your face. Although I prefer my actual primer for prepping my skin ( I haven't tried it out as a prepping spray yet ) - this works fantastic for locking in my make-up and making it stay in place all day. I do have dry dehydrated skin - so while I feel this suits normal to oily skins better - this still works great - I just need a lighter hand on the spray to make it work for me. So with the warmer weather now I do find it works perfectly to help my make-up not melt of my face and look fresh all day long.

Avon True Colour Flawless Liquid Foundation in Nude
This foundation is another everyday favourite foundation of mine. It offers medium coverage but is build-able . The formula on the foundation makes it pretty easy to blend out and lasts a good amount of time on the skin too . I think this is the perfect foundation for dry and normal skin types - and if you use a good setting spray and primer it will even be perfect for oilier skin-types. If you are looking for a good everyday foundation that isn't too heavy on your skin - yet still looks natural - this is the perfect foundation for you.

Have you tried any of these Avon products before ?

*The Foundation and Bronzing Pearls were sent for review - the Prep and Set Spray I bought myself.
