Hi guys! I hope you are all well. How is lock-down life on your side? I must admit - working from home, giving online lessons and keeping Alex entertained/helping him with school work as well as keep the home up and running is intense.  Overall - if you are in the same boat - remember - this lock-down thing is new for everyone. Especially kiddos and they find it confusing and intense. It's overwhelming for them too to suddenly be stuck at home without their friends and expected to do school work even though it feels like a holiday.  I designed three worksheets that I will share in the end as well - if you perhaps need a little something extra to keep you sane during this time.  So a few fun ideas we incorporate into your lock-down life schedule - BOARDGAMES :  This is an activity we already do weekly - but now I try and set aside some boardgame time with Alex daily. Hi guys! Happy Friday! How has your week been? Mine has been super crazy busy at work. With Winter *almost* over - it means summer clothes and if you are anything like me - you skipped one too many times applying body lotion this winter. Alex's skin has been drier than ever (because he reckoned once a week was more than enough ... bless his little heart. ) I also suffer from extremely dry knees and elbows so I always try and remember to moisturise but I even forgot most days this winter.  When I was browsing Dischem last month to buy vitamins, I saw this Mix an Anti-Dryness Body Lotion. Hi guys! Happy Wednesday. How has your week been so far? Mine has been super busy at work - and home life has finally settled down a bit again too.  As promised in my 2019 post - I want to do more kids related posts on the blog too. Today will be the first post. Reading in our home is a big deal. I have tons of kids book and I add to them regularly. We make a point that no matter what to read a book every night. Alex was one of the Top 10 Readers in his Grade last year and as an educator myself, I can't stress the importance of reading. I prefer to keep these books in my little (although it's not so little anymore Library short and sweet stories - so I know it won't take us more than 10 minutes to read.) He does, however, have his own bookcase with books he can read anytime he feels like reading.
