Nail care Essentials

Hi guys! Happy Tuesday. How has your week been so far? I'm back at full swing at work again this week, and with school only starting so much later this year, it will be a bit of a juggle with work and holiday life for the kiddo.  Today I'm sharing one of my favourite posts to always do - some of my favourite nail care essentials. Not a lot of you know this but this little blog started out as a nail art/swatches blog for all things nail related back in the day - and has since evolved into so much more. But I still adore nail looks and sharing what I love using.  With constantly sanitizing my hands (even before Corona ) I love using an extremely hydrating hand cream at night. I'll admit during the day I hardly put on any cream (eek!) but at night I love using a super hydrating hand cream. My current favourite - the Avon Concentrated Hand Balm with glycerine and jojoba oil. This hand cream has an extremely thick consistency, is unscented and protects and repairs extremely dry...

{Review} - New Nail Product Releases from Essence

Hi guys ! Happy Monday . Hope everyone had a great weekend, mine was nice and relaxing. Had a great Mother's Day weekend with Alex . Essence recently came out with a million new releases ( I will be sharing some of the new make-up releases later this week too ) and I couldn't wait to pick up a few of the new products to test out and review for you guys. This isn't even half of the new goodies they have, just a little taste of the products I picked up.  (Some of the products were PR samples I received a few months back too ) Essence Studio Nails Triple Care * R34,95 This is a great treatment that aims to repair , strenghten and care for your nails. So far I really like to use this treatment as a base coat before I apply my polish . It's really a great budget friendly nail treatment. Essence Studio Nails Pro White Care R34,95 This is the treatment I can see myself reaching for most over winter time. This treatment claims to help whiten your nails , which i...

5 Favourite Essence Nail Care items

Hi guys ! Hope you had a great weekend ! (And that you are enjoying Freedom Day today)  A nail and hand care routine is essential for me in winter (actually any season to be honest ... ) I decided to first tell you my 5 favourite Essence Nail Care products - as it's SUPER affordable and the products all work great.  Today I'm sharing MY favourite 5 Nail Care products from Essence with you guys .  Essence Studio Nails Hardening Nail Base : With the change of season, my nails go all brittle and breaks easier. This base coat has really saved my nails - when I feel my nails getting a bit more brittle or weak , I change my usual basecoat for this Hardening nail polish when I polish my nails.  Essence Studio Nails Moisturising Cuticle Cream : I love this cuticle cream when I have very dry cuticles. This cream sinks into your cuticles quickly ... All downside for me personally - it has a floral smell ... And that's the only reason why I don't reach fo...

Spa-Valous Candle - Patchouli & Jasmine

Hi guys ! It's Friday ! Whoohoo ! This week has really been super busy and WAY too long ! Today I'm showing you a something special to treat yourself to when you do a mani. (or need a massage for that matter ! ) So for those of you who have no idea what a Spa-Valous massage candle is .. let me give you the low down -  The luxurious Spa-Valous Massage Candle is a candle with a twist. It's a Candle, Massage Oil, Body Lotion, Body Balm....... all in one! The scent I got to test out was Patchouli & Jasmine , and let me tell you , it's amazing . The scent isn't overbearing strong, and not too subtle either. It really has the perfect balance. So how does the candle work ? You light up the candle, let it burn until the wax turns oily. Then you use the oil as a massage oil, it's really SUPER moisturising and relaxing. I love doing this as a weekly special "ME" time treat , it really dehydrates your hands and cuticles.  This is genuinely a pick me...

Avon : Nail Expert Rose Cuticle Balm

Hi guys ! Hope everyone had a lovely week thus far ! It's finally weekend ! Whoohoo ! Since I'm still rocking my dots mani from Wednesday (since I'm only planning to do my animal print design for the Tip Top competition this weekend ) , I'm going to show you an awesome cuticle balm from Avon I started using a while back. This is a nice thick balm that smells of roses (not overwhelming though .. which is a huge bonus since I'm not a big fan of the smell of roses ) . Since I can only put on some cuticle oil at night before bed (as I'm always typing etc ) , I started using this butter on my dry cuticles during lunchtime daily, and I have to say, my cuticles have been a lot less dry as of late . It also moisturises fantastically, some nights I don't even see the need to use cuticle oil , but especially in this warm / cold weather days, I've seen a huge improvement since using this balm during the day . Because trust me , nothing ruins a mani faster ...

Tip Top Cuticle Oil ♥

Hi guys ! Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend ! Today I'm not going to show a new colour, this weather this past week has been hectic on my poor hands, they are super dry and I even broke a nail. :( Over this weekend , I went out to buy myself a new Tip Top cuticle oil ( Clicks was having a special on them.. 20% off ! And I needed some as the other cuticle oils wasn't even helping my poor cuticles !! Eeeck !! ) This is really the liquid gold of all the cuticle oils out there .. Its worth EVERY SINGLE CENT ! It's very oily, usually I only applied this before bedtime, but my cuticles are SO dry , I am typing with it on, and my cuticles absorbs it within seconds. Scary.. Just goes to show how dry they really are. I'm on day 3 of cuticle oil, and while I'm starting to see a small difference, I know in a few days they'll be as good as new. :) That's how great Tip Top cuticle oil works. Honestly, everyone should have this cuticle oil in their house /...
