Nail care Essentials

Hi guys! Happy Tuesday. How has your week been so far? I'm back at full swing at work again this week, and with school only starting so much later this year, it will be a bit of a juggle with work and holiday life for the kiddo.  Today I'm sharing one of my favourite posts to always do - some of my favourite nail care essentials. Not a lot of you know this but this little blog started out as a nail art/swatches blog for all things nail related back in the day - and has since evolved into so much more. But I still adore nail looks and sharing what I love using.  With constantly sanitizing my hands (even before Corona ) I love using an extremely hydrating hand cream at night. I'll admit during the day I hardly put on any cream (eek!) but at night I love using a super hydrating hand cream. My current favourite - the Avon Concentrated Hand Balm with glycerine and jojoba oil. This hand cream has an extremely thick consistency, is unscented and protects and repairs extremely dry...

Revlon Kiss Glow Lip Oil

Hi guys! Happy Wednesday. How has your week been so far? Mine has been a little crazy - still getting into the groove of working from home and going into the office and managing homeschooling in between. Which can get a little hectic at times.  Now as I mentioned - I only go into the office two full days a week and one afternoon at this stage - so most days when I go work from home I still do make-up - light BB Cream, definitely eyes and then a lip balm or lip oil especially when I know my day involves a video call or I just want to feel pretty the day. Most days I do use normal lip balms - but on days I prefer to feel pretty and look a little more put together ( because on workdays no one can see your lips under a mask - so wearing a pretty gloss or lip oil is pointless), I love these Revlon Kiss Glow Lip Oils.  The Revlon Glow Lip Oil provides sheer coverage, for a glowing natural shine with a subtle hint of colour. Deep nourishment and comfortable colour. Lip cond...

Some New Revlon Favourites

Hi guys! Happy Wednesday! How has your week been so far ?? Today I am sharing some new Revlon favourites I've been using a lot lately. Some of them I have discovered the end of December last year and some are new loves that popped into my routine.  Revlon ColorStay Full Cover Matte Foundation 150 Buff This is one of the latest foundations from Revlon. I knew I already loved the colourstay foundation range in general - so I was really excited when Takealot had this foundation on sale last year and picked one up. This is a 24hour wear foundation that promises no caking or fading, that's lightweight and blends seamlessly. And I have to agree on those statements (although I never wear foundation that long). This has been my go-to foundation the last few weeks since my skin has been acting up a little in this heat. It's a good medium coverage foundation - and I love how this doesn't cling too much on dry patches - but looks flawless and doesn't go into fine line...

July Monthly Favourites

Hi guys ! Happy Monday . How was your weekend ??  I'm a little late this month to share my monthly favourites but rather late than forgetting another month to share what I love right ? July is usually our anual family week getaway - so my favourites will include some travel friendly options this month as I am showing a few mini's here . These are all products that I loved and couldn't stop reaching for in the month of July.  Hean Eyebrow Pomade - Ash Brown I have mentioned my love for the Benifit version quite a few times in monthly favourites but I was lucky enough to try out this lovely brow pomade from Hean cosmetics that I was really pretty excited to try it. And with good reason - as I mentioned before this is such an amazing brand. The brow pomade lasts forever on your brows - the colour (ash brown) suits me perfectly and it's pretty easy to work with. Not to creamy and not to stiff - the perfect mixture that you need in a brow product.  Locally Hean ...

New On My Beauty Desk - May

Hi guys ! How was your weekend ? Did you watch the Royal Wedding on Saturday ? I was working but I did catch the highlights after work .  Today I will be sharing some new goodies that I'm currently testing out. There is a lot more than the goodies I'm sharing here - but I'm keeping all of those for separate product review posts pretty soon. As always some products I might have tested once or twice - some I will be trying in the next week or so to report back on.  Justine Tissue Oil Multipurpose Moisture Balm This is a convenient on-the-go dry skin remedy balm formulated with the power of Justine's famous tissue oil to address any dry skin emergencies. I like the idea of a multi use product I can pop into my bag and use as a lip-balm / cuticle balm on the go. The container is quite big - and a little does go a long way so I'm really excited to start using it as I love the Justine Tissue Oil range. Revlon Kiss Balm SPF20 in Tropical Coconut I have th...

February Favourites

Hi guys ! Happy Wednesday . How has your week been so far ?? Today I'm sharing some of my favourite February products. I tried to keep it short and sweet since I did review most of the products I love during February and didn't want too much repeats. These are the products that impressed me during the month of February.  REN Perfect Canvas Skin Finishing Serum I did a full review  HERE  - but I am really loving this serum / primer so much I haven't been able to put it down. I have been using this instead of primer the last few weeks and my skin just love this serum. This is truly a results driven serum and I see myself reaching for this daily.  CATRICE Prime & Fine Professional Contouring Palette 010 Ashy Radiance This is a little duo with a contouring powder as well as a gorgeous highlighting powder. While the contouring side is okay - I was blown away how amazing this highlighter is. It's currently my daily go too and last pretty amazingly (...

My Top 5 Everyday Nude Polishes

Hi guys ! Happy Friday . How was your week ? Hopefully not too hectic . Mine has been very busy with juggling parenthood (and a kid with a million and one activities ) with work and blogging. But I survived - so a big yeah for that.  Today I will be sharing my Top 5 Everyday Nude Nail Polishes with you guys. As you know I love a good nude nail polish - and they are usually my go to shade every week ( well at least until my good friend Siobhan convinced me to do the #52weeknailchallenge with her) .  For the last few years I usually just went with nude nails and the occasional pink nails as my go to. I love how classic it looks and that it goes with everything. Most work environments require a more neutral look and nothing too over the top.  Do I think it might be a little boring and predictable ? Sure , perhaps if you like more bolder colours ... But these are my favourites that I recommend to anyone looking for a good nude polish staple in their collection.  ...
