My Current Morning Skincare Routine

Hi guys ! Happy Monday. How was your weekend ??? Today I am sharing my current skincare routine with you . Some of these products only recently came into my life - some are firm favourites but I'm sharing what I use today and why I love these products. For reference my skin is usually normal / combo in summer , but in winter my skin is a mess. I suffer from extremely dry dehydrated skin that gets dry patches super easily especially since it's cold and flu season and I have been sick quite a lot in the last few weeks. Justine Oil Control Face Wash  I already did a full review on the whole Justine Oil Control range  HERE  - but this face wash has stayed a firm favourite in my routine. I'm already on my second bottle and have a back up ready. As I mentioned yes my skin is currently a lot drier and dehydrated - but this face wash doesn't irritate my skin and keeps any blemishes at bay yet gives me an effective deep cleanse morning and evening.  Sorbet Hydro...

Avène Eau Thermale XeraCalm A.D Range

Hi guys ! Happy Monday . Hope you had a nice weekend spoiling mom ... or just chilling. It's such a cold rainy morning today in Johannesburg that I'm glad I have Mondays off - so I can chill with a big mug of coffee and a blanket.  A few weeks ago I was browsing around in Dischem checking out some of the Avene range. My son Alex has been struggling with some texture on his skin and I wanted to check some options to try. Overall he does have pretty good skin - but the sides of his cheeks gets extremely bad texture that gets itchy if it's too hot or too cold . I decided to pick up this pretty nifty set I spotted as it included a free Cicalfate and little Thermal Spring Water (which I already know works wonders on him ) to give a go.  The set retails for R550 and  includes : Avene Cicalfate Cream 40 ml Avene XeraCalm Lipid Replenish Cleansing Oil 400 ml Avene XeraCalm Lipid Replenishing Balm 200 ml Avene Thermal Spring Water 50 ml  A lit...

Empties #01

Hi guys. Happy Wednesday. How has your week been so far ?? Today I will be sharing my first empties post. These are all products that I've finished in 2018 so far - and I hope to share many more empties posts with you guys this year. I feel empty posts are the best as they give the best review since the product was used completely. My first empty post includes some haircare , body care , candles , make-up and sheet masks and a mask or two from Tara & Jack. Some products I've done a full review on previously - and I'll link reviews were possible. So let's jump into my trash ... errrm empties ... Eau Thermale Avene Thermal Spring Water I mentioned this in numerous monthly favourites and I buy the big bottle for the last two times I have repurchased. This is such a firm favourite in my routine - I use it to set make-up on some days ... to calm down my skin after some of my stronger facial treatments - after some yoga or running  . Name it I use it. Alex l...

Some new Eau Thermale Avène Goodies I'm Trying

Hi guys . Happy Monday. How was your weekend ? It's FREEZING cold in Johannesburg this morning - I know I will need a few cups of coffee and tea to warm up today . ( For my international readers - it's currently the middle of winter here in South Africa) A little while back I decided to try some more goodies from the Av ène Eau Thermale range while stocking up on the Spring Water Spray while I was ordering from Clicks online. It's no secret that I LOVE the Spring Water spray - so I won't review that here again. If you like to read my thoughts on it - you can click HERE . The Cold Cream range looked extremely tempting to try out - and pretty affordable so I decided to give it a go. I have used Cold Creams before and I love the texture and how they work on my skin - so was really keen to try it out. I got three products from the Cold Cream range - The Cold Cream cream , the Cold Cream Hand Cream and the Cold Cream Lip cream.  So onto the products : Eau Thermal...

May Favourites

Hi guys ! Happy Friday . How has YOUR week been ? Today I will be sharing my monthly favourites with you guys. There isn't too much picks - as I mostly kept to these products for most of the month - some of my favourites from April were still firm favourites - but to not sound too repetitive I tried not to mention the eyeshadows and Avon lipgloss again. (Although I still wore them most of the month ) So let's jump into the favourites : Essence Shine Shine Shine Lipgloss in Bright On ( nude) and Smile , Sparkle & Shine.  As I mentioned last month - I was testing out some lipglosses and only mentioned the one - this month I'm mentioning these two gems. I rarely wear lipsticks in the last few months - and I blame it on finding some AMAZING hydrating lipglosses. Both glosses I got are from the Prisma Glow range The pink one has the most gorgeous blue toned shift that makes your teeth look whiter and your lips look plumper. The nude one goes with almost anythi...

April Favourites

Hi guys ! Happy Monday . How was your weekend ?Mine was pretty chill and relaxing with too much good food and chilling - so in other words the perfect weekend.  Today I will be sharing my monthly favourites with you guys. There isn't too much picks - as I mostly sticked with these products for most of the month .  So let's jump into the favourites :  Avene Eau Thermale Spring Water As I mentioned  HERE  - this is one of the most treasured skincare products in my routine. So much that I;m on my second big bottle already . I use this for mostly everything and anything. I use it after washing my face as a toner , make-up setting spray , after gym , on Alex's face after his sport practise at school - the possibilities are endless. I already re-purchased my third big bottle - and I can see this being in my favourites for many months to come.  Revlon Colorstay Make0-up for Normal / Dry Skin in Nude I've mentioned it in a post  HERE  - b...

Avène Eau Thermale Spring Water Spray

Hi guys ! Happy Saturday . I know I don't normally post on weekends - but I've been so sick this week I didn't even come too close to my laptop at night to type a post . I was lucky enough to be one of the selected  RubyBox  bloggers to try the Av ène Eau Thermale Spring Water Spray. I have seen it in Clicks before - but I haven't tried it yet as I though - it's just water right ? Why would I buy a special water to spray on my skin ? Boy oh boy I will admit I was as wrong as can be.  As I mentioned earlier in this post - Johannesburg has some crazy weather lately - it was cold and raining the one week (which I'm pretty sure is the reason for me being so crazy sick ) - and then back to super duper hot temperatures the next . I think this was one of the main reasons I have been struggling so much with my skin the last few weeks too . My skin wasn't too happy with me. When I got the parcel with the  spray I was intrigued to try it out. I mean I ALWAYS ...
