{Book Review} Exclusive Books 5 for R200 Sale February/March Books

Hi guys! Happy Wednesday. How has your week been so far? Mine has been super busy at work - and home life has finally settled down a bit again too.  As promised in my 2019 post - I want to do more kids related posts on the blog too. Today will be the first post. Reading in our home is a big deal. I have tons of kids book and I add to them regularly. We make a point that no matter what to read a book every night. Alex was one of the Top 10 Readers in his Grade last year and as an educator myself, I can't stress the importance of reading. I prefer to keep these books in my little (although it's not so little anymore Library short and sweet stories - so I know it won't take us more than 10 minutes to read.) He does, however, have his own bookcase with books he can read anytime he feels like reading. One of my favourite book deals to be on the lookout for - is the Exclusive Books 5 for R200 deal they have from time to time. February and March is another special month and ...

Some Wet n Wild Products I'm Loving

Hi guys! Happy Monday. How was your weekend? We had a bit of a rough week last week - not only the usual daily routine stuff but Alex slipped and fell in the bath and now has a major gash just beneath his bottom lip and a chipped tooth. Fun ... (not) Wet n Wild is a brand I haven't tried out too much. I do have the eyeshadow primer I got last year and LOVED ( and it's still one of my favorite eyeshadow primers). When the Wet n Wild photo focus foundations came out last year everyone raved about it. When I saw they were available on Clicks I couldn't wait to order some goodies. I got a gorgeous Wet n Wild highlighter from my aunt as a Christmas prezzie and decided to throw it in here too.  Wet n Wild PhotoFocus Foundation in Soft Ivory So first off - yes all the people mentioning the strong smell is 100% correct. It does have a bit of a chemical smell to it. The fact that the foundation doesn't have a pump is also a little bit of a bummer as I prefer a pump, to be...

Avon Care Refreshing Body Lotion with Aloe and Cucumber

Hi guys! Happy Thursday! How has your week been so far ? Recently Avon came out with the Refreshing Aloe and Cucumber Body Lotion (I love buying these big bottles as I do use quite a lot of body lotion - I'm one of those weird people that don't like to have dry scaly skin . ) and just looking at the flamingo on the packaging I knew I had to try it out . Doesn't the packaging just scream summer ??? Now while I do have a few favorite body lotions in the rotation - the Avon big bottles are always a staple in my bathroom. The bottle has a pump which is perfect so no struggling with a squeeze bottle and squeezing out too much (which with a kid can sometimes turn into a disaster). The bottle always lasts a decent amount of time too - which is always a bonus. And yes - who doesn't love smelling like aloe and cucumber? It's such an amazingly fresh scent yet still versatile for the whole family. The body lotion isn't greasy and absorbs into the skin quite ea...

Some New Essence Brushes in my Collection

Hi guys! Happy Monday. How was your weekend? I spend some quality time with the birthday boy who turned 9 on Friday. And we're already in February? How crazy is that ?? Last year I decided to gift my mom some new make-up brushes and get me some of the new Essence collection too. Not only are these brushes gorgeous ( I LOVE LOVE  LOVE the white and rose gold handles ... that alone is enough to pick these up, to be honest.). I do love Essence brushes in general - so I was excited to pick some up for me too (and got one in my advent 2018 Advent Calendar too - that perfectly matched the set so I'm a super happy camper.  Let's get chatting about the brushes, how I found them and the prices.  I picked up all my ones from Takelot - but I have seen them in Dischem too.  Essence Bronzer Brush R80 This is such a good fluffy brush perfect for blending in bronzer without looking streaky or patchy. The brush doesn't pick up too much color and is so soft and blends...
