{Review} Essence Jurassic World Limited Edition Collection

Hi guys! Happy Thursday. How has your week been so far?

A little while back Essence did an excellent collection with Jurassic World, and since Alex and I ADORE the film franchise - I knew I had to jump on this collection and get as many of the items as possible. Luckily I hit the website just as it was uploaded so I got the collection and decided to do a full review for you guys.

Again - I don't usually buy full Essence collections anymore - but this was an exception and for good reason. Who doesn't love dinosaur-inspired make-up?

First up, the make-up tools in this collection.

Pink Make-Up Sponge in Bingo! Dino DNA R82,95

Highlighter Brush in Must be a fast Runner R82,95

Powder Brush in Stay in the car! R99,95

Again, I love Essence brushes and make-up tools - and I love the colours on the brush handles. Did I really need new make-up brushes? No... But who can say no to these cuties?

Essence brushes are fantastic quality and affordable - so you can't go wrong with these.

Essence Jurassic World I love Extreme Limited Edition Crazy Volume Mascara R75,95

Essence is known for their good affordable mascaras and again - I adore I love the range of mascaras.

I love the Rose Gold packaging on this mascara, and as always this is a pretty good mascara and I know I will love and use it.

The mascara has a silicone brush and is very user-friendly to use - so I would really recommend this mascara.

Essence Jurassic World Bracelet - Qualified Dinosaur Expert R57,95

Alex and I adore Blue (the main dinosaur in the Jurassic World franchise ) so this bracelet reminded me so much of her I knew I needed it. I have Jurassic Park-inspired jewellery - so this is such a good budget-friendly add-on to my collection.

I really adore the little silver dinosaur on the bracelet and will be rocking this bracelet quite often (we watch one of the movies at least once a month ).

Essence Jurassic World Lip Glow in Runnn! R82,95

I feel this is such a good product and I might go back and pick up another one of these lippies. They are perfect for a natural everyday look and leave a light pink-ish stain that lasts quite a few hours - so perfect for a natural everyday look and gives your lips a gorgeous tint of colour.

Again the packaging is super cute and I can see myself reaching for this almost every day now that the weather has warmed up a bit.

(Swatch at the end with the highlighter )

Essence Jurassic World Highlighter in Extra Crispy R99,95

If there is one thing Essence can do flawlessly - is make super affordable buttery glowy highlighters - and this one is no exception.

There is a gorgeous Rrrrrrar! and dinosaur skin texture imprinted on the highlighter - giving it such a cool look. This is a gorgeous golden-toned highlighter- giving your skin a gorgeous glow.

I have it swatched with the lipstick in the next picture.

Essence Jurassic World Eyeshadow Palette - Have a Roarsome Day! R189,95
Now for the star of the show - the gorgeous eyeshadow palette. This palette contains 8 gorgeous buttery colours and I knew I had to pick it up to add to my collection .

The mattes blends easily, the satins go onto the skin smoothly and the glitters are truly magical.

Swatches will be in the next two photos.

Overall - I love this collection and can really recommend them if you can still find it in Dischem. I bought mine online from House of Cosmetics but they only have one of two items left at this stage.

Have you tried anything from this collection?

Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer Review and Wear Test

Hi guys. Happy Monday. How was your weekend ?? Today I will be sharing my review on the Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer . I have worn this quite a few times since buying the product - so I have a pretty good idea how it preforms. The colour I got was a typical Lynette colour - The Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer in Donut Worry be Happy. This is such a gorgeous fun pink colour. The range does have quite a few colour options - and what I do like about the range is that no top coat is needed. So while I always top coat polish or gel polishes - I didn't when I tested this out. Since I did mention I have worn it quite a few times - I always wore it without top coat. The polish dries amazingly fast - and is dry enough to not make dent marks on it within 20 minutes. Which I think is pretty impressive for a polish without top coat. The brush is on the thicker side - making the polish super easy to apply. I prefer nailpolish brushes like this since it's mostly just one swipe on each ...

CATRICE TREATMENTS SERUM REVIEW

Hi guys! Happy Wednesday. How was your week? I totally lost a day with the public holidays and Easter Weekend threw into the mix ... I was pretty convinced today was actually Tuesday. As I mentioned in my New on my Beauty Desk post in February - I got a few Catrice serums from their new range to try out. In total I picked up the Hydro serum as well - so today I will give you a rundown on the three serums I chose from the range to my routine.  Overall - I have a pretty good idea of which ones I love - which ones are good and which ones I'm not 100% sold on.  CATRICE HYDRO PLUMPING SERUM  This serum contains 1.5 %  hyaluronic acid and panthenol to plumps up the skin as well as have a soothing effect on the skin. Hyaluronic acid is well known to hydrate the skin and absorbs easily into the skin super quickly. I love using Hyaluronic Acid in the morning before applying make-up as it gives me a hydrated base to work with. Honestly, while I did enjoy using this serum - I d...
