Hi guys ! Hope everyone is as glad as I am that it's Friday !
For those of you who might not know, the beauty community lost one of it's most treasured members on Tuesday morning ... Talia Joy Castellano. Talia was a beautiful thirteen year old girl who was battling two horrible forms of cancer, neuroblastoma and preleukemia. She was also a supremely talented make up and nail artist. You might have seen her amazing appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres show, where she was also made an honorary Cover Girl!
The last mani she posted on Instagram was a mint green mani , and a bunch of bloggers decided to dedicate this Friday to her, and wear a mint green or green mani in Honor of Talia Joy.
So here is my mint green mani to remember the wonderful Talia Joy -
For this mani I used two coats of Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Green Tea . It's really a gorgeous light mint green colour . I am really starting to love mint green colours now, I picked up this beauty at Clicks for R20 at their sale bin, so it was a total bargain too♥ For the accent nail I used two silver rhinestones .She really had incredible talent and such an amazing spirit to keep herself positive through out her treatments. ♥
If you did a mint mani to remember Talia Joy, please feel free to leave the link in the comments and I'll gladly add it here. Remember to use the hastags #MintManisForTaliaJoy and #TaliasLegacy on Twitter and Facebook too.
I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend ♥
So sad to read aout her, but gorgeous mint manis all round.
ReplyDeleteThanks Amanda. It was really sad to read about her passing, she looked like such a wonderful little girl
Deleteit nearly brings me to tears when I hear and read about her now. What an inspiration she was.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had seen this before and would have made my nails green :(
It still brings me to tears to read about this little girl. Sooo sad. ♥ I'm sure you can still do a mint mani and just use the tags ... It's the thought that counts. ♥
DeleteI didn't know, i was just starting to love her videos and her spirit..I felt a lot of connection with her and she was one of the most talented makeup vloggers out there, no jokes. I think the wolrd needs people like her and we all have a lot to learn from her. I am very happy to say i try to have the same spirit and try to figure out how to pass it to others. I was just recently thinking that I hoped she could make it..I unfortunately don't have a mint green here at the beach with me, and it's not friday anymore, but I totally will do my best to participate in this memorial mani. All my love to her and her loving parents, who also appear in her videos and seem amazing.
ReplyDeleteP.S. If you still don't know her talent, I suggest that you check her no mirror makeup challenge video, way better then professional popular older girls! Keep on spreading her word and her memory by watching her channel!
DeleteShe was an amazingly talented little girl.. Her video's are really awesome. ♥ I see you did post a mani, but somehow the link doesnt want to open. ♥
DeleteI did, but I had a horrible connection then, so something might have gone wring with the links.. :( I'm still having hard times looking at her pics and vids and been sad for days for her
DeleteI'm so jealous that are clicks doesn't stock Sally because for R20, I wouldve SO gotten this! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI was also shocked when I saw it was only R20.. Clutched it and ran to the till to pay ♥ Hee hee hee
DeleteUnusual colour - don't know if I will be brave enough to wear however - but the more I look at colour the more I like it . Sandy
