Sorbet - Au Naturelle Set

Hi guys ! First off .. HAPPY NEW YEAR ! I took a little blogging break over the festive season, but I'm glad to be back in full force today. Hope everyone had a great festive season with loved ones.

Today I'm starting off a little mini series like last year - Back To Work - where I will share some of my favourite goodies that are great to help you settle back into work and the new year ahead.

Today I will be sharing a little Sorbet Set that I got for Christmas ( I got a few more sets... But for now I am sharing my thoughts on this little set )

The Sorbet Au Naturelle set contains a Sorbet Melting Moments (a nude/pinkish nail polish) , A Sorbet Base & Top Coat, and a cute cosmetic bag. The colour is perfect for work (As most of you can't wear crazy bold colours to work) & will look stunning on almost any skintone.

Melting Moments is a soft pink-ish nude nail polish. This polish applies like butter and is fully opaque in two coats (If you use thicker coats, you can get away with one, but I prefer using thinner coats ) .

For testing purposes, I used the Base & Top coat included and skipped my usual base & top coat to see how well this performed. It dries to a shiny finish, and dries fairly quickly (BUT ... not as fast as the top quick drying top coats on the market... ) I like the idea of a base & top coat in one , especially for travelling or touch ups at work or home .

The little cosmetic bag is really cute too ! Big enough to pop in the polishes (or any other cosmetics etc... ) and pop into your handbag for touch ups on the go.

Have YOU tried any of the Sorbet polishes ? How was YOUR holiday / festive season ? Any special goals for 2015 ?

You can pick yourself up some Sorbet nail polishes at Clicks & Sorbet Stores.

  3. We don't get Sorbet here, but wow, that formula and shade are seriously creamy! The products seem to be high-quality, too, from appearance and the reviews.

By the way, I'm having a fun little giveaway with a few goodies from Bath & Body Works (and a One Direction Makeup palette, hahaha). I hope that you'll participate! ChicAndAlluring.com

Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer Review and Wear Test

Hi guys. Happy Monday. How was your weekend ?? Today I will be sharing my review on the Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer . I have worn this quite a few times since buying the product - so I have a pretty good idea how it preforms. The colour I got was a typical Lynette colour - The Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer in Donut Worry be Happy. This is such a gorgeous fun pink colour. The range does have quite a few colour options - and what I do like about the range is that no top coat is needed. So while I always top coat polish or gel polishes - I didn't when I tested this out. Since I did mention I have worn it quite a few times - I always wore it without top coat. The polish dries amazingly fast - and is dry enough to not make dent marks on it within 20 minutes. Which I think is pretty impressive for a polish without top coat. The brush is on the thicker side - making the polish super easy to apply. I prefer nailpolish brushes like this since it's mostly just one swipe on each

CATRICE TREATMENTS SERUM REVIEW

Hi guys! Happy Wednesday. How was your week? I totally lost a day with the public holidays and Easter Weekend threw into the mix ... I was pretty convinced today was actually Tuesday. As I mentioned in my New on my Beauty Desk post in February - I got a few Catrice serums from their new range to try out. In total I picked up the Hydro serum as well - so today I will give you a rundown on the three serums I chose from the range to my routine.  Overall - I have a pretty good idea of which ones I love - which ones are good and which ones I'm not 100% sold on.  CATRICE HYDRO PLUMPING SERUM  This serum contains 1.5 %  hyaluronic acid and panthenol to plumps up the skin as well as have a soothing effect on the skin. Hyaluronic acid is well known to hydrate the skin and absorbs easily into the skin super quickly. I love using Hyaluronic Acid in the morning before applying make-up as it gives me a hydrated base to work with. Honestly, while I did enjoy using this serum - I do prefer the Sw
