My Top 5 Colorpop Products

Hi guys ! Happy Thursday . How has your week been ? I am starting a little mini series on the blog where I will share my Top 5 products from a brand. First up is one of the most awesome brands I discovered - Colorpop Cosmetics. Colorpop only ships to America at this stage , but I get mine through a third party seller in South Africa. (Meaning it's usually like a 30 day wait from ordering until receiving the product... eeeck ! But totally worth the wait ) My top 5 products include 3 lippies , an eye shadow and blush. So let's jump right into my picks.  Colorpop Hammered Super Shock Shadow : Okay first off, these eyeshadows has the weirdest texture. You will get used to using the product after a try or two , the first time it does feel really weird. The eyeshadow has a mousse like texture , and is best applied with fingers. I love wearing this colour on it's own for a nice shimmery brown eye. I would recommend wearing an eye primer with these eyeshadows.  ...

{Review} Essence Pure Nude Foundation & Concealer

Hi guys ! Happy Tuesday.  Today I'm sharing my thoughts on 2 new Essence products with you guys that Essence sent me a while back  - since these go so perfectly together. I'm always game to try out new foundations to see how it works on my skin . For the record - I have dehydrated oily skin that tends to break out easily - and the foundation worked amazingly well on my skin. It didn't clog my pores or make my skin break out . It also didn't cling to my drier spots on my face - making it one of my favourites to reach for on casual make-up days .  The Essence Pure Nude Foundation is a very lightweight light to medium coverage foundation . The consistency of this foundation is very liquid-y , but gives you a nice light coverage - perfect if you aren't a fan of heavy duty foundations . Even though I do prefer medium to full coverage foundations , I do like this foundation on my off days - it looks so natural and feels light and airy on your skin. I love that th...

4 Essence The Gel Polish Swatches and Mini Review

Hi guys . Happy Friday. Hopefully you guys had an okay week... Mine wasn't the best , but you can't win them all can you ? As I mentioned earlier in December , Essence was kind enough to send me some awesome goodies m, and today I'm sharing 4 of those polishes with you. These are from their The Gel Nail polish . These polishes work great with their The Gel Base Coat and Top Coat - but it's not needed, this works great with normal base and top coat too . As I mentioned in the post where I reviewed the top / base coat with the colour combo  HERE  , the colour with The Gel top and base coat does last a good 4/5 days on me, which is pretty impressive.  So onto the swatches of the 4 polishes I'm sharing with you today -  Essence Miss Captain  Essence Miss Captain is a gorgeous teal coloured nail polish leaning to the grey side. It does pull more grey/tealish on me personally , so I think this is one that will look different on different skin tones. I use...

My Secret to Soft Hydrated Hands

Hi guys ! Happy Monday . How was your weekend ? If you follow me on Instagram , you would have seen I bought the Sorbet Moisture Infusing Socks a while back -  TAKE A LOOK HERE  . A few days after posting that photo and after the lovely Martie from  LivingLightley  mentioned that she loved the socks and gloves, I decided to go back to Clicks and get the gloves - and I'm so glad I did ( They were on special too - bonus ! )  Sorbet is quickly becoming one of my favourite brands ... I haven't found a product from them I don't love.  I'm already a big fan of all the Sorbet Hand Creams - my favourite being the Age Control one ( pink ) and the Hydrating one ( Orange ) , so I had big hopes for the gloves. The gloves has a layer of gel inside, making sure your hand cream doesn't go to waste and every last drop get soaked up by your skin. I have to be real - the first time you put these gloves on they feel super creepy and gross , especially with...

L'oreal Infallible Mega Gloss

Hi guys ! Happy Friday. Hope you all had a great week.  L’oreal has recently launched the new Infallible Mega Glosses that come in many gorgeous shades various cool finishes.  The L’Oreal Mega Glosses are described as a “no compromise gloss” that will give a high level of shine to the lips, leaving you with a glossy looking pout without the sticky feeling. Enriched with hyaluronic acid, the formula hydrates the lips whilst providing long-lasting and intense colour. I have to say , this is one of the least sticky lipglosses out there - which is great if you are not a fan of sticky glosses. The gloss lasted about 3 hours on me , that's with drinking insane amounts of water in between in this heat.  The Mega Gloss has a classy sleek packaging with a black cap and a simply designed transparent tube making it look quite luxurious. And who doesn't love taking out a fancy looking lipgloss when you are out and about ? The lipglosses also have a unique contoured wand ...
