Essence Liquid Lipstick Review and Swatches

Hi guys ! Happy Tuesday . Anyone else glad it's a super short week this week ? I am recovering from a cold this weekend, not the best way to start a week though.  I

Today I'm sharing some Essence Liquid Lipsticks with you . Last year Essence was kind enough to send me a press pack, and two of these shades were included, Around the same time I placed an online order with Red Square and also picked one up . (That one is my favourite shade - Colour Party) , These lipsticks aren't matte or long lasting like most liquid lipsticks. These really feel like a lipstick melted down - but they are super moisturising. These are a little sticky like lipglosses but nothing super annoying, these are quite comfortable to wear. . They last a good 2/3 hours on me and even when the colour has faded it still has a moisturising feeling on the lips - which for the price makes it worth while to check out. These retail for around R49,95 at Essence counters.

I quite like the thin doe foot applicator brush, these make it super easy to apply the product. There are 6 shades in total , and they are really worth checking out if you like one of the colours. I love popping them into my work bag for days when my lips feel dry but I still want a little colour and gloss.

So onto the swatches of the three colours I got -

Essence Liquid Lipstick Colour Party -
This one is hands down my favourite. It makes me feel like a princess wearing the shade. This is a gorgeous light pink shade , and if you love pinks - You NEED this one in your life. Who doesn't like to feel like a pink princess ?

Essence Liquid Lipstick in  Show Off !
This is a gorgeous coral colour. Although I don't usually reach for coral shades, this shade does look stunning on the lips. If you love coral shades, this will be a winner for you.

Essence Liquid Lipstick in Make a Statement
I don't quite know how to describe this colour , it's a berry toned colour with a brown undertone. To be honest - this colour isn't really my style - but the formula is still a winner, so if you like these types of colours, you would love this. This shade will look gorgeous on darker skin tones .

Overall , I really like this line of liquid lipsticks , and I can't wait to add a few more to my collection. (Especially the nude one, swoon )

How has YOUR week been so far ? Any exciting long weekend plans ?

*These product/s was send to me in exchange for my honest opinion*

"Make a Statement" is definitely my favorite shade. I saw these liquid lipsticks at my local Ulta, but there wasn't any testers for me to try. They look good, though!

  14. When you eat and drink with lipstick on, these enter the body and can make you sick. Lipsticks also have high amount of lead and cadmium. Using the expired lipsticks can lead to lead poisoning and cause renal failure, anemia, brain damage and brain neuropathy.

Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer Review and Wear Test

Hi guys. Happy Monday. How was your weekend ?? Today I will be sharing my review on the Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer . I have worn this quite a few times since buying the product - so I have a pretty good idea how it preforms. The colour I got was a typical Lynette colour - The Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer in Donut Worry be Happy. This is such a gorgeous fun pink colour. The range does have quite a few colour options - and what I do like about the range is that no top coat is needed. So while I always top coat polish or gel polishes - I didn't when I tested this out. Since I did mention I have worn it quite a few times - I always wore it without top coat. The polish dries amazingly fast - and is dry enough to not make dent marks on it within 20 minutes. Which I think is pretty impressive for a polish without top coat. The brush is on the thicker side - making the polish super easy to apply. I prefer nailpolish brushes like this since it's mostly just one swipe on each ...

CATRICE TREATMENTS SERUM REVIEW

Hi guys! Happy Wednesday. How was your week? I totally lost a day with the public holidays and Easter Weekend threw into the mix ... I was pretty convinced today was actually Tuesday. As I mentioned in my New on my Beauty Desk post in February - I got a few Catrice serums from their new range to try out. In total I picked up the Hydro serum as well - so today I will give you a rundown on the three serums I chose from the range to my routine.  Overall - I have a pretty good idea of which ones I love - which ones are good and which ones I'm not 100% sold on.  CATRICE HYDRO PLUMPING SERUM  This serum contains 1.5 %  hyaluronic acid and panthenol to plumps up the skin as well as have a soothing effect on the skin. Hyaluronic acid is well known to hydrate the skin and absorbs easily into the skin super quickly. I love using Hyaluronic Acid in the morning before applying make-up as it gives me a hydrated base to work with. Honestly, while I did enjoy using this serum - I d...

Hi guys ! Can't believe its Friday already ! First off, happy birthday to my brother, hope you have a fantastic birthday today ♥ So Tip Top's facebook page, has been running weekly nail art theme competitions. This week's theme is FARM ANIMALS. Well, usually I don't enter these nail art competitions, but since my little man loves farm animals , I decided to give it a go . :) (I also bummed some of his farm animal toys and books as decoration... Hee hee hee ) The rules are you have to use Tip Top colours... So first off let me mention all the colours I used creating these cute farm animals : French Manicure White, Cream Puff, Peach Crisp, Sherbet Angel, Melting Marshmallow, Lemon Fuel, Black Forest , Twilight and Sexy Bikini ♥ So here follows all the cute pics (sorry this post is a little picture heavy ...) A cow, a piggy, a cow, a duck and a sheep ♥ I just LOVE these cute farm animals don't you ?? My favourite of ...
