Avène Eau Thermale Spring Water Spray

Hi guys ! Happy Saturday . I know I don't normally post on weekends - but I've been so sick this week I didn't even come too close to my laptop at night to type a post .

I was lucky enough to be one of the selected RubyBox bloggers to try the Avène Eau Thermale Spring Water Spray. I have seen it in Clicks before - but I haven't tried it yet as I though - it's just water right ? Why would I buy a special water to spray on my skin ? Boy oh boy I will admit I was as wrong as can be.

As I mentioned earlier in this post - Johannesburg has some crazy weather lately - it was cold and raining the one week (which I'm pretty sure is the reason for me being so crazy sick ) - and then back to super duper hot temperatures the next . I think this was one of the main reasons I have been struggling so much with my skin the last few weeks too . My skin wasn't too happy with me.

When I got the parcel with the  spray I was intrigued to try it out. I mean I ALWAYS wanted to try it ... And I was surprised how my skin almost immediately looked healthier (mind you I did use this at night time for the first time - but my morning some small little bumps I had on my skin mostly all disappeared - yeah !) .

The Avène Thermal Spring Water is perfectly balanced with a optimal calcium / magnesium ratio that guarantees efficiency and tolerance - meaning your skin balance will be restored.

It's low in mineral content and the presence of silicates makes Avène Thermal Spring Water exceptionally gentle on your skin.

Now I'm pretty sure the Avène Eau Thermale Spring Water Spray can be used for millions of reasons - and I'm pretty sure you can google them all - but I want to share how I find it useful on myself daily -

  • I start of every morning by spraying my face with the Avène Eau Thermal Spray after washing my face instead of using a traditional toner. I spray and then gently pat it into my skin before continuing with my eye cream , serum and moisturiser - I do notice this step helps my skin stay calm during the day - especially since my skin tends to get all red and irritated during the day if the weather suddenly gets hotter (and I hate sitting with red cheeks during the day for no reason . )
  • After I complete my make-up - I do spray my face again. This doesn't claim to be a setting spray at all - but I feel it makes my make-up stay gorgeous during the day - and I did notice I don't need to do a little blotting or powder my nose during my lunch break .
  • I use this on my son Alex (he's 7 ) after his after school sport as he tends to get super hot and red from running around the field a million times. He loves how cooling it feels too . We even used it on sunburn (mind you it was a light sunburn on his neck - but it did help it not being itchy or stinging ) He also suffers from a light eczema and this helps his skin stay smooth and patch free.
  • I use it again at night time after I double cleanse my face to bring some calm back to my skin. I do find that this steps helps my oil I use at night time work 100% better too.

In the proses of testing the product - I was super sick this week - that meant blowing my nose 100 times a day (that can leave you with a very sore , dry red nose ) and suck moisture from your skin. While I was feeling like death - at least I wasn't looking it . And for me that was such a huge bonus and one of the main reasons why I will most certainly be stocking up on the big bottles (especially since Clicks is having a 3-2 sale on and it's one of the items - yeah ! ) . I can totally see why this was voted the no 1 Facial Water in Europe .

They retail from R139.00 – 150ml - but be on the look out for specials like the Clicks one - that does make it a little more affordable. Or using those Clicks and Dischem points can help too.

Hope you have a lovely weekend !

I was sent this range to review for RubyBox  - Opinions are my own.

Farm Animals Friday !

Hi guys ! Can't believe its Friday already ! First off, happy birthday to my brother, hope you have a fantastic birthday today ♥ So Tip Top's facebook page, has been running weekly nail art theme competitions. This week's theme is FARM ANIMALS. Well, usually I don't enter these nail art competitions, but since my little man loves farm animals , I decided to give it a go . :) (I also bummed some of his farm animal toys and books as decoration... Hee hee hee ) The rules are you have to use Tip Top colours... So first off let me mention all the colours I used creating these cute farm animals : French Manicure White, Cream Puff, Peach Crisp, Sherbet Angel, Melting Marshmallow, Lemon Fuel, Black Forest , Twilight and Sexy Bikini ♥ So here follows all the cute pics (sorry this post is a little picture heavy ...) A cow, a piggy, a cow, a duck and a sheep ♥ I just LOVE these cute farm animals don't you ?? My favourite of

Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer Review and Wear Test

Hi guys. Happy Monday. How was your weekend ?? Today I will be sharing my review on the Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer . I have worn this quite a few times since buying the product - so I have a pretty good idea how it preforms. The colour I got was a typical Lynette colour - The Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer in Donut Worry be Happy. This is such a gorgeous fun pink colour. The range does have quite a few colour options - and what I do like about the range is that no top coat is needed. So while I always top coat polish or gel polishes - I didn't when I tested this out. Since I did mention I have worn it quite a few times - I always wore it without top coat. The polish dries amazingly fast - and is dry enough to not make dent marks on it within 20 minutes. Which I think is pretty impressive for a polish without top coat. The brush is on the thicker side - making the polish super easy to apply. I prefer nailpolish brushes like this since it's mostly just one swipe on each

CATRICE TREATMENTS SERUM REVIEW

Hi guys! Happy Wednesday. How was your week? I totally lost a day with the public holidays and Easter Weekend threw into the mix ... I was pretty convinced today was actually Tuesday. As I mentioned in my New on my Beauty Desk post in February - I got a few Catrice serums from their new range to try out. In total I picked up the Hydro serum as well - so today I will give you a rundown on the three serums I chose from the range to my routine.  Overall - I have a pretty good idea of which ones I love - which ones are good and which ones I'm not 100% sold on.  CATRICE HYDRO PLUMPING SERUM  This serum contains 1.5 %  hyaluronic acid and panthenol to plumps up the skin as well as have a soothing effect on the skin. Hyaluronic acid is well known to hydrate the skin and absorbs easily into the skin super quickly. I love using Hyaluronic Acid in the morning before applying make-up as it gives me a hydrated base to work with. Honestly, while I did enjoy using this serum - I do prefer the Sw
