{Review} Filorga Lift Structure Ultra Lifting Rosy Glow Fluid

Hi guys! Happy Wednesday! How has your week been so far? I'm not going to lie - year-end burn out is especially hard this year - and it's taken a toll on my skin as well. My skin has been looking a lot more tired and dull (and I'm sure it's from all the extra work stress as well as living through a pandemic .) Filorga sent me their new Lift Structure Ultra Lifting Rosy Glow fluid to try out and it came at the perfect timing!  I already know almost all the products from this brand that I have tried I adore - they really are some of the best skincare products I have tried over the years. Lack of radiance - is an issue that affects all ages - dull, blurred, grey, and tired complexion. As time passes, it becomes increasingly difficult to restore the face's natural radiance. This gorgeous cream has a gorgeous rosy glow - that helps you look more awake and with a healthy glow.  Plasma Lifting Factors - cellular factors + collagen + hyaluronic acid, provide visibly redefin...

{Review} Filorga Flash Nude Pro - Perfection Tinted Fluid SPF 30

Hi guys! Happy Monday. Can you believe we quickly counting down to Christmas and the end of 2020? This year feels like it has flown by and taken forever. Alex is starting exams today and work is intense crazy now - so much so that I am struggling to find my feet - in combination with the normal year-end burnout - which somehow feels a little more intense this year. Today I'm sharing one of my favourite everyday essentials with you guys - The Filorga Flash Nude Pro Protection Tinted Fluid with SPF 30. I was sent a few samples to try out along with the Primer - and let me tell you I quickly fell head over heels for this magical foundation formula.  My whole life I have basically been a full coverage gal - until lockdown when I switched my normal full coverage foundation for a BB-Cream. Honestly - I'm over the feel of heavy foundations on my skin - so I was glad when I was sent this foundation to try out. My focus this year is more skincare and when colour cosmetics have those ...

{Kids Style} Fortnite Styled Shoot

Hi guys! Happy Friday. How has your week been so far?  Christmas Time is fast approaching - and I know with Covid kids really got into games this year. I know I for once have been WAAAAAAYYYY more lenient about Alex enjoying playing games - and this year he really got into Fortnite and Minecraft - so I have a fully-fledged gamer in the house now.  One day I spotted the most gorgeous Fornite masks on Instagram from  Naughty Monster Design (that was WAY cheaper than any other ones I saw and decided to order them for Alex. He adored them and couldn't wait to wear them to school to show off. They are also super comfortable with the double strap that goes behind the head - something Alex prefers on school days. Alex was lucky enough to get sent some more masks as well as a gorgeous Fortnite Summer shirt - they do the most gorgeous hoodies as well. So today we will be sharing some photos of him rocking the masks and shirt.  Again, thanks so much  Naughty Monst...

{Lifestyle} Avon Breast Cancer Awareness Walk

Hi guys! Happy Wednesday. How has your week been ?? Over the weekend it was the annual Avon Breast Cancer Awareness Walk - this Year they were celebrating the 15th year of the walk - but because of Covid - this is the first year that the walk happened virtually - so that meant we could join in the fun . Usually, this event takes place yearly in Johannesburg - so it allowed so many more people to join in on the fun this year. Everyone could do it out and about in their own neighbourhood and support this cause. I do hope they will continue to offer a virtual offer next year too - as everyone all over SA could take part.   Every one  of the participants got a T-shirt to wear on the day as well as a gorgeous buff, a goodie bag and some fun products to use on the day. Some of the fun goodies in the goodie bag were sunscreen, hand sanitizer, protein bar and shake to use on the day. Alex and I opted for the 4km walk (there was an 8km option too ) and we had loads of fun wearing ...

{DatingDisasters} Part 2

Hi guys! Happy Tuesday! How has your week been so far ?? Today is Part 2 of my Spooky Stories Dating Disasters series. As I mentioned before, as a single mom I have dated quite a few weird narcissistic guys along the way - and today I bring you one of the creepiest stories. Mister A swept me off my feet 6 years ago. He was a normal guy that was super sweet and caring. Honestly - he is marriage material and if I do ever get married I can totally picture myself with someone like him. The kiddo adores him as well. I think it's one of the main reasons my heart instantly fell for him- deep down I knew he was everything I ever wanted and more. While everyone was dreaming of getting married one day and starting a family and loving one person forever - I never had that vision for myself. That was until Mr A. If there was ever a reason to believe in soulmates - he was it.  The first year went pretty well ... until one day he changed and completely started ignoring me. He would always...

{#DatingDisasters} Part 1

Hi guys! Happy Thursday. How has your week been? Honestly ... September and most of October has been a blur so far, this year is really just flying by. Today I'm posting a bit of a fun post poking fun at myself. As most of you might not know, I'm a single mom - so dating has been quite interesting in the last few years. I have a tendency to date extremely narcissistic guys - which ends up in some funny dating stories to tell. So today instead of anything over the top serious or a review - I decided to share some of those stories with you guys. Of course, I mean no harm to any of these guys. In most cases even though they sucked - I'm still pretty good friends or on speaking terms with most of them still. Today I will share the story of mister D, a narcissistic journalist I dated many many years back, but we both wanted another chance at trying a few months back. He was quite older than me, but I do love an older guy. I'm still great friends with him now, and always joke...

Hi guys! Happy Friday. How has your week been? I'm not going to lie - September has been a busy month with my dad's birthday and homeschool and work being extremely busy - it didn't help that I got a horrible ear infection/sinus infection in the mix which I'm only now slowly recovering from. As I mentioned in an earlier post - I won some Filorga minis in a Give-away on For The Beauty of It Instagram give-away and I have honestly been enjoying testing out these minis so much.  This time around I will be chatting about the Perfect Skin Effect 1 Week Programme. Although yes some of these minis I still have a bit left that I'm using. I adore this range overall - and was pretty impressed by this mini perfect skin set. So let's get chatting about these minis : Filorga Oxygen-Glow Super- Perfecting Radiance Cream : This is overall an amazing hydrating cream. I preferred to use this at night time when my skin was extra dry and sensitive from wearing a mask at work all...

Hi guys! Happy Thursday.  How has your week been so far? Alex is home this week (his school switches them between one week at school and one-week homeschooling ) so I'm working and teaching him from home which does get pretty interesting. Thank goodness he is such a smart kid. As I mentioned here many times before- Alex does read every night before bedtime - this is a strong rule we stick to every night. He loves reading and he often walks around with a fact book or Encyclopedia in his hand reading everyone facts about volcanoes, dinosaurs or the human body. I love that  Kids Book Club  sends us a cute book, an activity something and a cute bag, bookmark and a little figurine every month.  So more about the service again if you missed it last time : We picked the two-book Hedgehog Heroes (11-13 years) package - this month we received a book, the MiniMag kid's magazine, the monthly activity booklet, bookmark and cute figurine. The activity book this month included col...

{SKINCARE} Some Filorga Minis I Tested

Hi guys! Happy Tuesday. How has your week been? The last few weeks has been pretty crazy and intense this side - but I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.  A week or two ago I won a Filorga giveaway the lovely  ForTheBeautyOfIt  ran on her Instagram page and I was one of the lucky three winners to get gifted some products. Honestly - I have never tried anything from the brand so I was EXTREMELY excited to try it . And it came just before the Woman's Day long weekend - and for a change, I had the Saturday off so it was the perfect time to play and try out new products. Yeah! I'm splitting up the minis reviews into two batches - these are the first products I tested out so far - Filorga Anti-Aging Micellar Solution & Meso-Mask So let me start with the Micellar Water. It's a pretty decent Micellar water - didn't burn or sting my eyes which is always a bonus. Overall - I wasn't blown away by the Micellar water - but it did a decent job of removing my ma...
