Nail care Essentials

Hi guys! Happy Tuesday. How has your week been so far?

I'm back at full swing at work again this week, and with school only starting so much later this year, it will be a bit of a juggle with work and holiday life for the kiddo.

Today I'm sharing one of my favourite posts to always do - some of my favourite nail care essentials. Not a lot of you know this but this little blog started out as a nail art/swatches blog for all things nail related back in the day - and has since evolved into so much more. But I still adore nail looks and sharing what I love using.

With constantly sanitizing my hands (even before Corona ) I love using an extremely hydrating hand cream at night. I'll admit during the day I hardly put on any cream (eek!) but at night I love using a super hydrating hand cream. My current favourite - the Avon Concentrated Hand Balm with glycerine and jojoba oil. This hand cream has an extremely thick consistency, is unscented and protects and repairs extremely dry skin. I like using a few drops of the Senses Beauty 100% Argan Oil on days my hands needs an extra boost as well mixed in. I do love using the combo right before I go to bed at night as this is a little greasy. But super hydrating and you wake up with baby soft hands. Yeah!  I do adore the Spalicious Lavender Roll-On Cuticle Oil - even though I will admit I don't use it nearly enough. I love that it has a roll-on, so it's easy to pop on before I do my morning walks or do a quick at-home workout. And it smells incredible too.

Onto my favourite nail care tools - I mainly only use these two. My current favourites include the Avon Cuticle Nipper ( in Rose Gold - swoon !). I love how easy to use it is for tidying ragged cuticles and hangnails. And I'll be 100% - the pretty Rose Gold Colour won me over too.

Another firm favourite is the Avon Dual Ended Cuticle Pusher. I use a little cuticle oil before I paint my nails each week - and then with the flat end gently push back my cuticles. The pointed edge is perfect for removing any excess skin or nail glue as well. I mostly do this once a week to make sure my nails look healthy and I have no overgrown cuticles.

I'll be 100% honest - while I do have a few favourite nail polish brands that I love to swop and play with - the last year my basics have been the same.

My base coat is always the Revlon Multi-Care Base and Top Coat - this is perfect to make my mani last a good week and smoothes my nail surface and prevents the polish from staining my nails.

My new favourite topcoat is Sally Hansen Insta-Dry. I was always in love with Seche Vite - but it was trickier to get and it got goopy super fast. I love how this top coat makes my mani last, and lets in dry super fast. It keeps your mani shiny and protected and you can get this top coat pretty easily - always a win in my books.

Overall - these are my favourites for my nail care Essentials. What are some of your can't live without nail products ??

  2. Your review of the nail hardener is so insightful! It's great to hear about your experience with this product and how it has helped strengthen your nails. Nail care is so important, especially when dealing with brittle or weak nails, so it's wonderful to find a product that works well (www.amazon.com/Liquid-Collagen-Biotin-Drops-Growth/dp/B0BG8W1H1F).

I've recently been looking into new dietary supplements and came across Liquid Collagen & Biotin Drops. These drops are gaining popularity for their potential benefits for hair, skin, and nails. Liquid collagen is known for its role in supporting skin elasticity and hydration, while biotin is a B vitamin that is often associated with promoting healthy hair and nails.

Considering your interest in nail care and beauty products, I thought you might find these drops intriguing. Have you ever tried any dietary supplements specifically for nail health or overall beauty? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this topic!

Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer Review and Wear Test

Hi guys. Happy Monday. How was your weekend ?? Today I will be sharing my review on the Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer . I have worn this quite a few times since buying the product - so I have a pretty good idea how it preforms. The colour I got was a typical Lynette colour - The Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer in Donut Worry be Happy. This is such a gorgeous fun pink colour. The range does have quite a few colour options - and what I do like about the range is that no top coat is needed. So while I always top coat polish or gel polishes - I didn't when I tested this out. Since I did mention I have worn it quite a few times - I always wore it without top coat. The polish dries amazingly fast - and is dry enough to not make dent marks on it within 20 minutes. Which I think is pretty impressive for a polish without top coat. The brush is on the thicker side - making the polish super easy to apply. I prefer nailpolish brushes like this since it's mostly just one swipe on each

CATRICE TREATMENTS SERUM REVIEW

Hi guys! Happy Wednesday. How was your week? I totally lost a day with the public holidays and Easter Weekend threw into the mix ... I was pretty convinced today was actually Tuesday. As I mentioned in my New on my Beauty Desk post in February - I got a few Catrice serums from their new range to try out. In total I picked up the Hydro serum as well - so today I will give you a rundown on the three serums I chose from the range to my routine.  Overall - I have a pretty good idea of which ones I love - which ones are good and which ones I'm not 100% sold on.  CATRICE HYDRO PLUMPING SERUM  This serum contains 1.5 %  hyaluronic acid and panthenol to plumps up the skin as well as have a soothing effect on the skin. Hyaluronic acid is well known to hydrate the skin and absorbs easily into the skin super quickly. I love using Hyaluronic Acid in the morning before applying make-up as it gives me a hydrated base to work with. Honestly, while I did enjoy using this serum - I do prefer the Sw
