My Picks from the Essence Love.Joy.Care Range

Hi guys ! Happy Tuesday. Hope you all had a great weekend. Alex is starting Grade 1 tomorrow (and I am running around buying school clothes and marking all his stationary )- so from next week I'll figure out a better posting schedule again.

Essence recently launched the Love.Joy.Care range - and although the range includes a bunch of cute products - I only picked up two items from the range for myself. The range is designed to make sure you can take care of yourself and give yourself a little pamper after a busy day/week. I did get some of the awesome goodies for gifts for family as well.

The two items that I got was the Sleep Mask and the hand butter - and spoiler alert - I LOVE both.

Love.Joy.Care Sleeping Mask
This sleeping mask retails for R34,95 and has the softest material ever for a sleeping mask. In December I was struggling to sleep with all the thunderstorms and I'm generally a very light sleeper - so this mask came in quite handy. Now I can't imagine sleeping without this beauty. I will be buying a back up since this is a limited edition range.

Love.Joy.Care Intensive Care Hand Butter
This amazing hand butter retails for R57,95 - and it's one of the best hand products I have ever used. This hand butter is SUPER hydrating - has a soft vanilla smell but the best part is how quickly this hand butter absorbs. This hand butter is truly amazing - and yes I will be buying a back up of this gem too.

This range is available mid December - mid January 2017 so there is still time to pick up something from the range if it caught your eye.

As always - Essence Limited Edition ranges are amazing - so be sure to take a look .

How has your week been so far ?

    1. The handcream is bomb, the range only came out just before new year at most Clicks stores near me, but then they display both the I love Juicy collection as well as this one - which is bizarre as the usually only stock one.

    1. If I didn't get some cooling kiwi gel eye pads from Clicks a little while back I would have totally gotten some - but Alex will need a pair too ( don't ask lol ) and my Clicks only had one left. Lol so for my sanity I skipped out on that.

  6. I always need a hand cream/butter wherever I go because my hands tend to get dry very quickly. This one from essence sounds amazing. and the sleeping mask looks super cute! :)

Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer Review and Wear Test

Hi guys. Happy Monday. How was your weekend ?? Today I will be sharing my review on the Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer . I have worn this quite a few times since buying the product - so I have a pretty good idea how it preforms. The colour I got was a typical Lynette colour - The Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer in Donut Worry be Happy. This is such a gorgeous fun pink colour. The range does have quite a few colour options - and what I do like about the range is that no top coat is needed. So while I always top coat polish or gel polishes - I didn't when I tested this out. Since I did mention I have worn it quite a few times - I always wore it without top coat. The polish dries amazingly fast - and is dry enough to not make dent marks on it within 20 minutes. Which I think is pretty impressive for a polish without top coat. The brush is on the thicker side - making the polish super easy to apply. I prefer nailpolish brushes like this since it's mostly just one swipe on each ...

CATRICE TREATMENTS SERUM REVIEW

Hi guys! Happy Wednesday. How was your week? I totally lost a day with the public holidays and Easter Weekend threw into the mix ... I was pretty convinced today was actually Tuesday. As I mentioned in my New on my Beauty Desk post in February - I got a few Catrice serums from their new range to try out. In total I picked up the Hydro serum as well - so today I will give you a rundown on the three serums I chose from the range to my routine.  Overall - I have a pretty good idea of which ones I love - which ones are good and which ones I'm not 100% sold on.  CATRICE HYDRO PLUMPING SERUM  This serum contains 1.5 %  hyaluronic acid and panthenol to plumps up the skin as well as have a soothing effect on the skin. Hyaluronic acid is well known to hydrate the skin and absorbs easily into the skin super quickly. I love using Hyaluronic Acid in the morning before applying make-up as it gives me a hydrated base to work with. Honestly, while I did enjoy using this serum - I d...
