John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Visibly Brighter Make-Up Look

Hi guys ! Happy Tuesday . How was your Monday ? Having a great start to the week ??

Part of the Rubybox campaign was to create a fun make-up look after using the shampoo and conditioner from the new John Frieda Brilliant Brunette range. I was really looking forward to this challenge as I can give mini reviews on some of my favourite products I like to use  .

As you guys know from my review HERE I am really loving the range . I used to use some voluminous spray in my hair daily - but I love how much more manageable my hair seems to be and how soft and smooth it it - that I just wash , dry and go in the mornings. My highlights in my hair has gone much more brighter and has the most beautiful golden sheen now.

I love making my green eyes pop on occasion - so the make-up look I will be sharing is the products I use for a gorgeous purple look to go along with the gorgeous golden sheen in my hair.

Revlon ColorStay Foundation for Normal / Dry Skin in Nude

This needs no introduction to why I love it. This foundation just works perfectly on my skin everyday - if it's just going to work or running errand on my off day. The foundation has a medium coverage but flawless natural finish - making it the perfect choice to reach for daily.

Benefit Ka-Brow ! And Ready, Set Brow !

This is another combo that needs no introduction.  I have sad very light ash blonde brows - So I do like to fill them in with the Ka-Brow! . On days I know it is raining / I'm going to run around like a crazy person - I do set them with the Ready, Set , Brow ! clear eyebrow gel and I know they will stay perfectly in place until I remove them in the evening.

Essence All About Roses Eyeshadow Palette

I mentioned my love for the All About Greys eyeshadow palette on the blog before - but two new recent ones I got from Essence lately - the Nudes and Roses also holds a special place in my collection. I love how the colour just makes my green/hazel eyes pop and look sparkly and bright.  For the look I used the top 3 colours of the first row. These shadows are all super pigmented and super buttery and blends like a dream.

 Colorpop Cry Baby Eyeliner
Honestly - I never got any hype about using eyeliner. Then after I saw a video of Kathleen Lights recommending the Colorpop Eyeliners - I knew I had to try some. I do own this gorgeous lilac colour as well as a nude - both last forever in the waterline ( this was the main reason I got them) for a gorgeous pop of colour. This colour makes my eyes pop a little bit more and gives the illusion that I'm wide awake and ready to tackle the day - when I am in fact not.

Essence Satin Touch Blush in Satin Coral
This is currently my current favourite blush - it's such a gorgeous lovely colour - pigmented and blends so easily. It also lasts a long time on the skin for being such an affordable blush. My favourite brush the apply this blush is also currently an Essence blush brush I got in my Essence advent calender - this is such a winner in my books.

Essence Longlasting Lipstick in Natural Beauty & Avon Plump It Lipstick in Mad for Mauve
Two of my current favourite lip colours at the moment is the Essence Longlasting Lipstick in Natural Beauty and Avon Plump it Lipstick in Mad for Mauve. I find Natural Beauty pulls  slightly more coral colour on me - but I do love it for an everyday lip colour. It lasts a pretty well for such an affordable lipstick - through cups of coffee until about midday before I need to re-apply. The same for the Avon colour - although this pulls a gorgeous berry colour on me which I love. If you love more neutral lip colours - both are super affordable , lasts a decent time and is super pretty .

And now onto the completed look -

Again some more info on the Brilliant Brunette range -

"This shampoo subtly lightens the golden tones in your hair as a brunette with highlights, as well as emphasising the brunette tones. Can be used on natural light brunettes or colour-treated hair. Massage into wet hair, lather and rinse.
For best results, follow with Brilliant Brunette Visibly Brighter Subtle Lightening Conditioner. The conditioner illuminates all brunette highlights and lower tones. Helps with moisturising hair and is ammonia/peroxide free."

I hope you enjoy this look I put together. What's YOUR favourite date night look ? Or day-time look ?

I was sent this range to review for RubyBox  - Opinions are my own.

Farm Animals Friday !

Hi guys ! Can't believe its Friday already ! First off, happy birthday to my brother, hope you have a fantastic birthday today ♥ So Tip Top's facebook page, has been running weekly nail art theme competitions. This week's theme is FARM ANIMALS. Well, usually I don't enter these nail art competitions, but since my little man loves farm animals , I decided to give it a go . :) (I also bummed some of his farm animal toys and books as decoration... Hee hee hee ) The rules are you have to use Tip Top colours... So first off let me mention all the colours I used creating these cute farm animals : French Manicure White, Cream Puff, Peach Crisp, Sherbet Angel, Melting Marshmallow, Lemon Fuel, Black Forest , Twilight and Sexy Bikini ♥ So here follows all the cute pics (sorry this post is a little picture heavy ...) A cow, a piggy, a cow, a duck and a sheep ♥ I just LOVE these cute farm animals don't you ?? My favourite of

Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer Review and Wear Test

Hi guys. Happy Monday. How was your weekend ?? Today I will be sharing my review on the Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer . I have worn this quite a few times since buying the product - so I have a pretty good idea how it preforms. The colour I got was a typical Lynette colour - The Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer in Donut Worry be Happy. This is such a gorgeous fun pink colour. The range does have quite a few colour options - and what I do like about the range is that no top coat is needed. So while I always top coat polish or gel polishes - I didn't when I tested this out. Since I did mention I have worn it quite a few times - I always wore it without top coat. The polish dries amazingly fast - and is dry enough to not make dent marks on it within 20 minutes. Which I think is pretty impressive for a polish without top coat. The brush is on the thicker side - making the polish super easy to apply. I prefer nailpolish brushes like this since it's mostly just one swipe on each

CATRICE TREATMENTS SERUM REVIEW

Hi guys! Happy Wednesday. How was your week? I totally lost a day with the public holidays and Easter Weekend threw into the mix ... I was pretty convinced today was actually Tuesday. As I mentioned in my New on my Beauty Desk post in February - I got a few Catrice serums from their new range to try out. In total I picked up the Hydro serum as well - so today I will give you a rundown on the three serums I chose from the range to my routine.  Overall - I have a pretty good idea of which ones I love - which ones are good and which ones I'm not 100% sold on.  CATRICE HYDRO PLUMPING SERUM  This serum contains 1.5 %  hyaluronic acid and panthenol to plumps up the skin as well as have a soothing effect on the skin. Hyaluronic acid is well known to hydrate the skin and absorbs easily into the skin super quickly. I love using Hyaluronic Acid in the morning before applying make-up as it gives me a hydrated base to work with. Honestly, while I did enjoy using this serum - I do prefer the Sw
