Neutrogena Hydro Boost Range - And First Check In

Hi guys ! Happy Friday. How is your week been so far ? I have been crazy busy the last few days - hopefully next week I will be back to normal.

I was lucky enough to be selected as one of the BeautyBulletin Influencers to test out the Neutrogena Hydro Boost range - and I was pretty excited. As I've mentioned a million times here on the blog - I do suffer from dehydrated skin. The Hydro Boost range is specifically created to help combat the effects of dehydrated skin , and help nourish the skin .

The Neutrogena Hydro Boost range consists of hydrating facial cleansers and moisturisers. Their unique Hyalurolic Acid Gel Matrix creates a hydration reservoir and works with the skin's natural moisture system to replenish , restore and deliver hydration throughout the day . It leaves your skin supple - and ready to bounce back to healthy hydrated skin.

One of the main reason my skin went from oily to more normal dehydrated skin, was most likely due to long nights , busy days and me not drinking nearly enough fluids. I do try my best , but being a busy mom on the run most days I do forget - or live of coffee on the go. This makes the lines on my forehead a lot more prominent - I get dry patches on my skin and my skin looks dull.

I have been using this range for about two weeks now , and today I will be sharing my first thoughts with you guys today - but keep an eye on the blog to see these products in action for my first video here on Monday too.

The three products I was sent was the Hydro Boost Water Gel Cleanser , Hydro Boost Water Gel Moisturiser and the Hydro Boost Micellar Water.

Hydro Boost Water Gel Cleanser R99,95 for 200 ml
I'm really picky with Cleanser gels , I do find they normally dry out my skin but I was pleasantly surprised by this cleanser. The Cleanser helps to remove impurities , make-up and sebum while protecting your skins barrier. I won't say this will remove your make-up completely - I still preferred to use my normal make-up removal routine here - but this didn't dry my skin out and make it feel tight after using the cleanser. A little goes a long way too - so I can see myself using this and repurchasing after my bottle is finished - which is pretty impressive .

Hydro Boost Water Gel R139,95 for 50 ml
This is such an awesome lightweight moisuriser packed with the Hyaluronic Acid Gel Matrix to provide long lasting intense boost of hydration for moisture starved skin. This really is such a light weight moisturiser - but it packs a punch. Although this absorbs into my skin instantly - my skin doesn't feel tight or dry all day - and I can wear my favourite matte foundations all day without worrying about it looking caked on or clinging to dry patches. This moisturiser is for people with normal to combination skin - and as I mentioned I do get an oily T-zone - but this does help to keep the oilyness at bay too. In winter I will most definitely try the Hydro Boost Gel Cream version too that's specifically for people with dry or very very dry skin types.

Hydro Boost Micellar Water R99,95 for 200 ml
This is an unique cleanser that removes impurities and residual make-up but quenches skin with an instant boost of hydration - and the best part - no rinsing required. While I LOVE Micellar Water , this specific one took a bit of getting used to for me. As I wear make-up daily , I am used to removing my make-up with Micellar water. I did find this took a bit longer to remove my make-up - especially my waterproof mascara but it does remove it in the end. While I didn't love it for removing my make-up - I did love it as a cleanser in the morning and for days that I wore heavier make-up after the cleansing gel. It's super easy to use a little on a cotton pad , wipe over your face and I'm ready to go on with my routine.

There is also some awesome Hydro Boost Cleansing Facial Wipes in the range too - which I will get over the weekend for after a work out or on days that I'm just too tired to remove my make-up (which is never hee hee hee , I'm really such a huge fan of my night time skincare routine ) - but a friend of mine does use them and love them .

I can definitely say my skin does look more hydrated (especially since I was running around extra crazy this week with my little guy turning 7 )  - The Neutrogena Hydro Boost range did most certainly help my skin bounce back to look healthier (and dare I say younger too ).

Next week I will share my Nightly Routine Video here too - where you can see these products in action - so keep an eye out for that too.

Do you love skincare too ? How has YOUR week been so far ?

These products were sent to me to try out - All opinions are my own.

  5. I love learning about new skincare products! Did you know that Neutrogena's Hydro Boost products were originally for the Japanese market only (they've been sold in that country for years), but it did so well that the company decided to expand the line and sell it everywhere else? I might check out the micellar water, since that's a product that I go through so quickly and constantly need to replenish my supply. :o)

Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer Review and Wear Test

Hi guys. Happy Monday. How was your weekend ?? Today I will be sharing my review on the Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer . I have worn this quite a few times since buying the product - so I have a pretty good idea how it preforms. The colour I got was a typical Lynette colour - The Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer in Donut Worry be Happy. This is such a gorgeous fun pink colour. The range does have quite a few colour options - and what I do like about the range is that no top coat is needed. So while I always top coat polish or gel polishes - I didn't when I tested this out. Since I did mention I have worn it quite a few times - I always wore it without top coat. The polish dries amazingly fast - and is dry enough to not make dent marks on it within 20 minutes. Which I think is pretty impressive for a polish without top coat. The brush is on the thicker side - making the polish super easy to apply. I prefer nailpolish brushes like this since it's mostly just one swipe on each

CATRICE TREATMENTS SERUM REVIEW

Hi guys! Happy Wednesday. How was your week? I totally lost a day with the public holidays and Easter Weekend threw into the mix ... I was pretty convinced today was actually Tuesday. As I mentioned in my New on my Beauty Desk post in February - I got a few Catrice serums from their new range to try out. In total I picked up the Hydro serum as well - so today I will give you a rundown on the three serums I chose from the range to my routine.  Overall - I have a pretty good idea of which ones I love - which ones are good and which ones I'm not 100% sold on.  CATRICE HYDRO PLUMPING SERUM  This serum contains 1.5 %  hyaluronic acid and panthenol to plumps up the skin as well as have a soothing effect on the skin. Hyaluronic acid is well known to hydrate the skin and absorbs easily into the skin super quickly. I love using Hyaluronic Acid in the morning before applying make-up as it gives me a hydrated base to work with. Honestly, while I did enjoy using this serum - I do prefer the Sw
