Disappointing Products

Hi guys ! Happy Friday ! How has your week been ?

Today I am sharing some disappointing products with you guys. I know disappointing product posts can sometimes get a little negative - if these products work amazing for you please leave me a tip how you perhaps use it differently  - because let's be real no one wants to buy make-up to unhappy about it .

HudaBeauty #FauxFilter Foundation in 100B Milkshake
You have no idea how excited I was about this foundation when I ordered this from Cult Beauty . I read so many great reviews that I couldn't wait to try it. It looks so high end and even looking at this photo breaks my heart.  Sadly on me this foundation doesn't work at all. The scent didn't bother me - but oh boy ! It feels heavy on my skin (like I am wearing a THICK layer of foundation ) ... but doesn't make me look flawless sadly. I feel my BB Cream gives me better coverage (although it could be because I used a beauty blender ) . I wish it didn't feel so heavy .

Essence You Better Work! Gym Proof Primer
When I first posted this primer everyone was super excited to read my thoughts on it. Don't get me wrong - I LOVE Essence goodies . It's one of my go to brands. But my skin doesn't like this primer. This is a thicker blue primer and I think it might be the sunscreen in this primer that breaks out my skin like crazy . It does help with helping sweat control to a stage but after four tries and getting small bumpy texture on my skin every single time after using it I just can't use it anymore.

MOOGOO Natural Cow Lick Lip balm
I got this while paying at the pharmacy while sick as the lady in front of me raved about how amazing it was. Someone beeswax based products doesn't really help to hydrate my lips at all. This is also scented with Citrus Oil which I suspect irritates my lips a little bit too. Is it bad overall ? No . I just don't like it at all. Which is sad as it was kind of pricey for a lip balm.
Essence Glow To Go Illuminating Setting Spray
I LOVE Essence Settings sprays - so when Essence released this recently I HAD to pick it up . Sadly - for me I don't love it. This contains glitter particles so I find glitter all over my face a little annoying. If you like your face looking like a unicorn puppy licked you all over - then yes you'd love it . If you like a normal setting spray without glitter you won't like this. Will I still use it ? Yes . But mostly over a weekend where I won't mind a little glitter.

Do you perhaps have any tips for me how to use these products differently ?? Any products you recently used that disappointed you ??

  5. I read mixed reviews about the Essence primer, some people love it, some not. I guess it depends on the skin's type to work, I would love to give it a try and see how it works on my skin. Happy Saturday xx

  7. I always feel a little hesitant to bash cosmetics for not working because I feel self-conscious about using these right. For some reason I always blame myself for things not working. My worst product of all time has to be the hair-conditioner I got from Syoss - what a waste of money!

    1. Sometimes a product that works AMAZING on someone doesn't work at all on someone else. But sometimes a disappointing post is good to see other people's reviews. I feel sometimes people feel they need to praise a product or brand to get freebies - but people like a honest opinion to see what didn't work for someone.

Farm Animals Friday !

Hi guys ! Can't believe its Friday already ! First off, happy birthday to my brother, hope you have a fantastic birthday today ♥ So Tip Top's facebook page, has been running weekly nail art theme competitions. This week's theme is FARM ANIMALS. Well, usually I don't enter these nail art competitions, but since my little man loves farm animals , I decided to give it a go . :) (I also bummed some of his farm animal toys and books as decoration... Hee hee hee ) The rules are you have to use Tip Top colours... So first off let me mention all the colours I used creating these cute farm animals : French Manicure White, Cream Puff, Peach Crisp, Sherbet Angel, Melting Marshmallow, Lemon Fuel, Black Forest , Twilight and Sexy Bikini ♥ So here follows all the cute pics (sorry this post is a little picture heavy ...) A cow, a piggy, a cow, a duck and a sheep ♥ I just LOVE these cute farm animals don't you ?? My favourite of

Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer Review and Wear Test

Hi guys. Happy Monday. How was your weekend ?? Today I will be sharing my review on the Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer . I have worn this quite a few times since buying the product - so I have a pretty good idea how it preforms. The colour I got was a typical Lynette colour - The Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer in Donut Worry be Happy. This is such a gorgeous fun pink colour. The range does have quite a few colour options - and what I do like about the range is that no top coat is needed. So while I always top coat polish or gel polishes - I didn't when I tested this out. Since I did mention I have worn it quite a few times - I always wore it without top coat. The polish dries amazingly fast - and is dry enough to not make dent marks on it within 20 minutes. Which I think is pretty impressive for a polish without top coat. The brush is on the thicker side - making the polish super easy to apply. I prefer nailpolish brushes like this since it's mostly just one swipe on each

CATRICE TREATMENTS SERUM REVIEW

Hi guys! Happy Wednesday. How was your week? I totally lost a day with the public holidays and Easter Weekend threw into the mix ... I was pretty convinced today was actually Tuesday. As I mentioned in my New on my Beauty Desk post in February - I got a few Catrice serums from their new range to try out. In total I picked up the Hydro serum as well - so today I will give you a rundown on the three serums I chose from the range to my routine.  Overall - I have a pretty good idea of which ones I love - which ones are good and which ones I'm not 100% sold on.  CATRICE HYDRO PLUMPING SERUM  This serum contains 1.5 %  hyaluronic acid and panthenol to plumps up the skin as well as have a soothing effect on the skin. Hyaluronic acid is well known to hydrate the skin and absorbs easily into the skin super quickly. I love using Hyaluronic Acid in the morning before applying make-up as it gives me a hydrated base to work with. Honestly, while I did enjoy using this serum - I do prefer the Sw
