My Picks from the Essence Counting Stars Collection

Hi guys ! Happy Wednesday . Hope you are having a lovely week so far.

A little while back I was browsing Takealot and I saw this cute little collection . The collection has lippies , eyeshadows , make-up application tools , hair ties and gorgeous nail goodies. From what I can gather this is a limited edition range exclusive to Takealot as I haven't seen it in store yet.

From the collection though only a few items jumped out at me . A lipgloss , the two lippies and an eyeshadow palette.

Essence Counting Stars Highlighter and Eyeshadow Palette 01 Make Your Own Magic R59
This is a gorgeous mini nude palette with three gorgeous colours . Online it does look more pink so don't be fooled into thinking this is a more rosey palette. The colours are SUPER buttery , creamy and blendable - these eyeshadows literally blend themselves . The highligter is a gorgeous more golden toned highlight that can easily work on the skin too - the reason I picked this up it is an easy throw in your make-up bag for a weekend away palette .

The three colours in the palette : The browns are all super pigmented and blend like a dream - and as mentioned above the highlight shade works perfectly on the cheeks too - so for me this is a little gem to throw in my make-up bag. I was a little surprised though how small this palette was though - so maybe just keep in mind this is a LOT smaller than a normal limited edition palette.

Essence Counting Star Lipstick in 01 Bring on the Glam & 02 Shine Bright R54
Okay first off - I have to say Takealot has the colour of the lipsticks incorrectly on the site. The name and the photo shown doesn't match . But regardless of that - both lipsticks are super gorgeous buttery and pigmented. The star shaped bullet lipstick is super adorable - but it does make applying the lipstick a little trickier . A bonus is they do leave a bit of a stain on the lips - so even though the colour fades there is still a gorgeous stain left .
01 Bring the Glam on is a gorgeous blue-toned red lipstick . The colour is gorgeous and pigmented .
02 Shine Bright is a gorgeous bright purple lipstick - this one is by far my favourite . I was blown away by how creamy the formula was - these lipsticks really has such an amazing formula and wear time .
Essence Counting Stars Star Shot Lip Topper in 01 live, love, sparkle R49 This is a gorgeous clear lipgloss with blue shimmer . I love sparkly glosses like this to have in my bag for when I need a quick touch up during the day or before picking up Alex from school. The glitter / shimmer isn't rough glitter but instead fine cosmetic glitter so you hardly feel it at all on the lips.

As I mentioned - this collection is available from Takealot.com and they do have the full collection .
Winners from the goodies I picked that you need - the eyeshadow palette is a winner ! The lipgloss is good but nothing you can't easily dupe ... and if you love lipstick these are a cute addition to your collection.

How has YOUR week been so far ??

Hi guys ! Can't believe its Friday already ! First off, happy birthday to my brother, hope you have a fantastic birthday today ♥ So Tip Top's facebook page, has been running weekly nail art theme competitions. This week's theme is FARM ANIMALS. Hee hee hee ) The rules are you have to use Tip Top colours... So first off let me mention all the colours I used creating these cute farm animals : French Manicure White, Cream Puff, Peach Crisp, Sherbet Angel, Melting Marshmallow, Lemon Fuel, Black Forest , Twilight and Sexy Bikini ♥ So here follows all the cute pics (sorry this post is a little picture heavy ...) A cow, a piggy, a cow, a duck and a sheep ♥ I just LOVE these cute farm animals don't you ?? My favourite of

Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer Review and Wear Test

Hi guys. Happy Monday. How was your weekend ?? Today I will be sharing my review on the Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer . I have worn this quite a few times since buying the product - so I have a pretty good idea how it preforms. The colour I got was a typical Lynette colour - The Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer in Donut Worry be Happy. This is such a gorgeous fun pink colour. The range does have quite a few colour options - and what I do like about the range is that no top coat is needed. So while I always top coat polish or gel polishes - I didn't when I tested this out. Since I did mention I have worn it quite a few times - I always wore it without top coat. The polish dries amazingly fast - and is dry enough to not make dent marks on it within 20 minutes. Which I think is pretty impressive for a polish without top coat. The brush is on the thicker side - making the polish super easy to apply. I prefer nailpolish brushes like this since it's mostly just one swipe on each

CATRICE TREATMENTS SERUM REVIEW

Hi guys! Happy Wednesday. How was your week? I totally lost a day with the public holidays and Easter Weekend threw into the mix ... I was pretty convinced today was actually Tuesday. As I mentioned in my New on my Beauty Desk post in February - I got a few Catrice serums from their new range to try out. In total I picked up the Hydro serum as well - so today I will give you a rundown on the three serums I chose from the range to my routine.  Overall - I have a pretty good idea of which ones I love - which ones are good and which ones I'm not 100% sold on.  CATRICE HYDRO PLUMPING SERUM  This serum contains 1.5 %  hyaluronic acid and panthenol to plumps up the skin as well as have a soothing effect on the skin. Hyaluronic acid is well known to hydrate the skin and absorbs easily into the skin super quickly. I love using Hyaluronic Acid in the morning before applying make-up as it gives me a hydrated base to work with. Honestly, while I did enjoy using this serum - I do prefer the Sw
