October Monthly Favourites

Hi guys ! Happy Thursday . How has your week been so far ? Mine has been crazy busy - I do hope it calms down a little bit from today.

Today I will share my first ever monthly favourites post. October was a crazy busy month for me , so I stuck with products I knew worked and loved. These are the 8 products that I reached for most .

Benefit Ka-Brow! & Benefit Ready, Set , Brow !

I  have to admit - I was one of the people that couldn't understand the hype about Benefit Brow Products. I love my Essence eyebrow pencil and I have always been super happy with it.  Then I decided to buy myself a little set on Red Square ( I got the Bigger & Bolder brows set ) and been addicted to the Ka-Brow! from day one. This is an amazing cream gel brow colour with a brush (so no need to carry around an extra brush ) . It's sweat proof and still looks amazing after a day running errand and swimming. I use this in combination with the clear brow gel - and I can see myself picking up these two products again when my current ones run out. They might be pricier - but my eyebrows look amazing everyday.

Skin Strategy Soothing & Calming Face Mask

If you follow me on social media - it's no secret I'm addicted to sheet masks. They are easy to use (just pop them on for 20minutes and chill )  and so relaxing. While I love a few brands - one of my favourite sheet masks is this one from Skin Strategy. I use these as a everyday sheet mask - meaning my fancier ones I keep for a weekly indulge session - but since these are pretty affordable I don't mind using them twice a week . The are very hydrating and calming on the skin. I buy these in a box of 10 at Deschem for under R120 . I have been repurchasing these for the last 4 months non stop - so I can't see my love for them fading anytime soon.

Essence All About Matt! Oil Free Make-Up in shade Vanilla

I already did a full review on the foundation HERE . I love this foundation - the formula is lightweight but it does cover imperfections without being heavy or cakey. Application is great with a brush or beauty blender or make-up sponge - both give a smooth finish.

I do set the foundation with a powder - but after that I'm set for the day . The foundation can be build up for more coverage - but I feel one layer gives amazing coverage. The foundation doesn't leave you with a flat matte look - which is what I prefer. I still want to look alive .

Essence Mosaic Blush in Miss Floral Coral

These Mosaic Blushes are super pigmented. I haven't gotten round to getting myself the super pinky one - but the coral shade is perfect for springtime . A little goes a long way and the blush lasts pretty decent too - on me it lasts about 7/8 hours before fading gracefully. I'm actually surprised that I reach for this blush so often - but the shade is so gorgeous and flattering .

Essence 2-1 Eyeshadow & Liner Waterproof in shade She's Got the Mauve

Now one thing I hate admitting too - I am SUPER lazy and not in the mood for make-up most mornings. These pencils fits perfectly into my life. These pencils last THE WHOLE day without fading and still looks perfectly applied after a long day. I swipe one of these pencils on my eyes and voila ! A gorgeous eye look without any effort. This colour is my favourite one by far and the one I reach for almost on a daily basis.

Essence All Eyes on Me Waterproof Mascara

I love Essence mascaras. They are SUPER affordable and I seem to like them all. But my all time favourite one without a doubt is the Essence All Eyes on Me. I bought about 7/8 tubes of this mascara since discovering it and the formula never disappoints me. It's waterproof (but not to the point that you need to scrub at night ) and it gives you the most soft natural looking lashes. I can't see myself being without at least one of them open in rotation .

Lush Vanillary Solid Perfume
I did a full review earlier this year  HERE and it's still one of my favourite daily scents. I hate wearing a too strong scent during the day - and this is the perfect solution for me. The scent lasts amazingly well - and it's perfect to just throw into your bag for any touch ups. The scent isn't too overpowering either . I'm extremely tempted to get me a Dirty scented one for over the December holidays as it's a quite minty scent .

What are some of YOUR favourites for the month of October ??

    1. They are worth the price tag - I got the combo set - perhaps try one of them ? They work out like R40 more expensive than a single product but then you get three of the range to try making it a bit more affordable.

Farm Animals Friday !

Hi guys ! Can't believe its Friday already ! First off, happy birthday to my brother, hope you have a fantastic birthday today ♥ So Tip Top's facebook page, has been running weekly nail art theme competitions. This week's theme is FARM ANIMALS. Well, usually I don't enter these nail art competitions, but since my little man loves farm animals , I decided to give it a go . :) (I also bummed some of his farm animal toys and books as decoration... Hee hee hee ) The rules are you have to use Tip Top colours... So first off let me mention all the colours I used creating these cute farm animals : French Manicure White, Cream Puff, Peach Crisp, Sherbet Angel, Melting Marshmallow, Lemon Fuel, Black Forest , Twilight and Sexy Bikini ♥ So here follows all the cute pics (sorry this post is a little picture heavy ...) A cow, a piggy, a cow, a duck and a sheep ♥ I just LOVE these cute farm animals don't you ?? My favourite of

Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer Review and Wear Test

Hi guys. Happy Monday. How was your weekend ?? Today I will be sharing my review on the Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer . I have worn this quite a few times since buying the product - so I have a pretty good idea how it preforms. The colour I got was a typical Lynette colour - The Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer in Donut Worry be Happy. This is such a gorgeous fun pink colour. The range does have quite a few colour options - and what I do like about the range is that no top coat is needed. So while I always top coat polish or gel polishes - I didn't when I tested this out. Since I did mention I have worn it quite a few times - I always wore it without top coat. The polish dries amazingly fast - and is dry enough to not make dent marks on it within 20 minutes. Which I think is pretty impressive for a polish without top coat. The brush is on the thicker side - making the polish super easy to apply. I prefer nailpolish brushes like this since it's mostly just one swipe on each

CATRICE TREATMENTS SERUM REVIEW

Hi guys! Happy Wednesday. How was your week? I totally lost a day with the public holidays and Easter Weekend threw into the mix ... I was pretty convinced today was actually Tuesday. As I mentioned in my New on my Beauty Desk post in February - I got a few Catrice serums from their new range to try out. In total I picked up the Hydro serum as well - so today I will give you a rundown on the three serums I chose from the range to my routine.  Overall - I have a pretty good idea of which ones I love - which ones are good and which ones I'm not 100% sold on.  CATRICE HYDRO PLUMPING SERUM  This serum contains 1.5 %  hyaluronic acid and panthenol to plumps up the skin as well as have a soothing effect on the skin. Hyaluronic acid is well known to hydrate the skin and absorbs easily into the skin super quickly. I love using Hyaluronic Acid in the morning before applying make-up as it gives me a hydrated base to work with. Honestly, while I did enjoy using this serum - I do prefer the Sw
