Revlon Shadowlink Eyeshadows

Hi guys ! Hope your had a great week and have fun plans for the long weekend ahead.

Today I'm sharing some of the colours of the Revlon Shadow links . I love the concept of mixing and matching your colours to make your own palette. These colours are all sold individually . There are 30 shades and 4 finishes to chose from.. Something to suit everyone .

For my three mini palette's , I clicked together the colours on how I would wear them.

First up is the Browns...

The colours from left to right -
Bone (Matte)
Chocolate (Matte)
Gunmetal (Satin)
Onyx (Pearl)

And the swatches -

Some pinks ...
Petal (Satin)
Lilac (Pearl)
Candy (Pearl)
Periwinkle (Pearl )

And the swatches... Surprisingly .. These 4 together are GORGEOUS !!! I'm not a huge sparkly eyeshadow fan, but I'm convinced these were made for me.

Some greens...
Lime (Satin)
Seafoam (Satin)
Peacock (Pearl )
Gold (Metallic )

And the swatches -

I'm just including the 4 finishes for you guys too.

Matte - No sparkle or shine, just a flat colour
Satin - Finishes are true to its name and mimics the look of satin fabric. It produces a very subtle sheen rather than a frost effect.
Pearl - These are the most shimmery finishes and have fine sparkles in them.
Metallic - Finishes are also true to its name. It has an intense metallic sheen and closely resembles actual metals .. Think foil... gold.. Silver and copper.

Some expert tips from the Revlon website when choosing your shades .

1. Pick your FAVOURITE shade
2. Add any shade from the same shade family
3. Add a light neutral to highlight
4.Plus a deep neutral shade to define
5. Voila ! Perfect Palette.

These Revlon Shadow links are available individually and sell for R45 each . I love the pigmentation in these and since you chose the colours you like, your palette can be as big or small as you want .. And you are guaranteed you love all the colours you picked.

  1. i've loved this post lynn! i didn't know about this revlon thing and i think it is such a great concept i now feel like i want to run and buy some! i will surely check in shops soon. i hope italian price is not too high. i found your post very informative, loved to see your palettes and to know the various kind of shades available. i think i'll go for some matte but i'm also very curious for satin and metallic ones. i'm already imagining which colors i'm going to pick! i've loved your choices, and i think the second palette is so me, the second is so you, while the third is so fun and will surely look amazing on you! i know you don't do that, but i'd love to see what looks you come up with.

Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer Review and Wear Test

Hi guys. Happy Monday. How was your weekend ?? Today I will be sharing my review on the Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer . I have worn this quite a few times since buying the product - so I have a pretty good idea how it preforms. The colour I got was a typical Lynette colour - The Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer in Donut Worry be Happy. This is such a gorgeous fun pink colour. The range does have quite a few colour options - and what I do like about the range is that no top coat is needed. So while I always top coat polish or gel polishes - I didn't when I tested this out. Since I did mention I have worn it quite a few times - I always wore it without top coat. The polish dries amazingly fast - and is dry enough to not make dent marks on it within 20 minutes. Which I think is pretty impressive for a polish without top coat. The brush is on the thicker side - making the polish super easy to apply. I prefer nailpolish brushes like this since it's mostly just one swipe on each

CATRICE TREATMENTS SERUM REVIEW

Hi guys! Happy Wednesday. How was your week? I totally lost a day with the public holidays and Easter Weekend threw into the mix ... I was pretty convinced today was actually Tuesday. As I mentioned in my New on my Beauty Desk post in February - I got a few Catrice serums from their new range to try out. In total I picked up the Hydro serum as well - so today I will give you a rundown on the three serums I chose from the range to my routine.  Overall - I have a pretty good idea of which ones I love - which ones are good and which ones I'm not 100% sold on.  CATRICE HYDRO PLUMPING SERUM  This serum contains 1.5 %  hyaluronic acid and panthenol to plumps up the skin as well as have a soothing effect on the skin. Hyaluronic acid is well known to hydrate the skin and absorbs easily into the skin super quickly. I love using Hyaluronic Acid in the morning before applying make-up as it gives me a hydrated base to work with. Honestly, while I did enjoy using this serum - I do prefer the Sw
